Nidhi seems like such a genuine, hardworking and sweet person. I really don't see why you guys are so bothered with her. With Aruna, the favoritism was very evident, but except Ranveer I don't think anyone else is favoring Nidhi. Also who knows? Maybe her dishes actually taste good.

If anyone should have been eliminated long time ago, it should've been Harry or Kenny. Prachi deserved to stay longer than them.

I kind of feel bad for his elimination, though I knew it. I think he’s cooked some interesting dishes, but he never was liked by the judges.

The hate for Nidhi is because of the evident favouritism from the judges. In my opinion the favouritism for her is as obvious as it was for Aruna.

And most of us suspected Shubhojit will go out and he did, even in previous eliminations most guesses have been correct. Now none of us have any magical abilities to make accurate predictions, so we’re basing it on what we see.

Since last season you could tell who’s going to reach the top 5/6, even this year it’s kind of obvious - Rukhsar, Nidhi, Nambi, Ashiq, Suraj.

Ok, but even if agree that the judges are biased towards Nidhi. How is it Nidhi's fault?

We're not blaming Nidhi for it at all. At least I'm not. Even last year I wasn't blaming Aruna for it. But it's frustrating because the favouritism means that deserving candidates don't get a chance or get eliminated earlier. Last year Aruna should have been like the first few out, but she made it to top 6 and top 4. Better candidates than her got out because even her basic dishes were praised as if they were the latest discovery in the field of science.

It's the same with Nidhi. How is a Buddha bowl a big innovation? Anyone can take a bunch of ingredients and make a bowl out of them. I do it all the time when I have leftovers in the fridge. I'll crisp a couple of elements, marinate a few more, keep some raw, make a quick sauce, and done. Nidhi is at most an average contestant and yet somehow the judges, especially Ranveer, will find a way to carry her through to the top 6 at least.

One thing I will say about today's epi is that Rukshar would have been out had she not used her pin. She knew it which is why she used the pin. She was rushing, anxious, and messing up simple steps.

Honestly this cook-along challenge wasn't even that hard. Garima was keeping a good pace, saying every step, and explaining the consistency of each element. She was treating the contestants with kid gloves as if they were in the first day of cooking school. I get that the elements weren't all simple especially if you haven't worked with an ingredient before, but it wasn't like you were using those ingredients without any guidance.

Additionally Nambi pissed me off a bit today. She didn't need to say anything from above to Shubhojit. He was working fine and no one had covered their skins so why was she telling him to? It almost seemed like a purposeful ploy to distract Shubhojit to save her friend, Rukshar. I know I'm probably reading too much into the moment, but it was seriously very annoying. If I was in Shubhojit's place, I might have yelled back "Shut up and let me listen to the expert, Chef Garima!"

I'm sorry to see Shubhojit go, but as Raina said, most of us had predicted it. I have a feeling next week it'll be Kenny, Harry, or Kriti's turn. Most likely another guy because they've eliminated 3 women in a row and they need to keep the balance.

Challenge with Pooja Makhija could've been more interested if a certain percent of components were mentioned tbh. But, nonetheless, finally the finesse and conceptualization is starting to appear in some of the dishes.

Kriti's playing it too safe, man. Too much of dessert overdose. Chocolate mousse isn't healthy lol since there's already too much sweet involved from the jaggery, honey and the berries.

Nambi's poaching of salmon alongside the onions sound mouth-watering. I do wish the kozumbu sauce in the dish. Yet, the parmesan cheese crisp sounded tasty but was looking bit simple.

Suraj's description felt like too much was going on so I was bit perplexed. But, actually it wasn't that bad. Surprisingly, it was pretty decent for me. Salmon dressing & the moringa sauce was masterstroke for sure, IMO.

Kenny's bit like a mixture of Nayan & Sachin. Passionate yet nervous. He can do better if he develops more ease in his ideas. Horsegram is high & rich in protein so overall I'm interested in his dish. When it came to the dish, it was pretty average looking but the taste saved his dish.

Nidhi using too much flax seed already making me 🤢 🤮 . Too much flax seeds incorporated. Dish was pathetic looking so not surprised by it.

Subojit's utilizing buckwheat in his soba was interesting but one can see he looked too much fizzled out after moringa leaves & flax seeds were announced.

Rukhsar wasn't performing her usual best. Presentation was too average.

Harry-I definitely liked the presentation of his dish. I'm glad the accompanying side dishes have their individual touch and presentation is pretty succinctly done. Overall, food was quite enticing with the sweet potato and quinoa combo. The pineapple & red bell pepper sauce looked interesting also. Moringa and feta dip was clever idea.

I think he started to perform on subpar level yesterday's episode more. You can see he was already stressed out tbh.

Agreed. I actually know someone who participated in the Great Canadian Baking Show and was a finalist and she said that it is actually very stressful and at some point each contestant goes through a dip in their performance. When that dip comes it's really based on luck if they make it through or not. Shubhojit had that dip yesterday and it carried over today. If Rukshar hadn't used her pin, he would have been lucky and made it through, but luck wasn't with him.
