Amazed at discussion here. Bengalis eat raw bananna in villages as an alternative to medicine when stomach is upset and that too it is eaten boiled and with salt only and no other cooking.
There are very specialised receipes using raw bananas off course but that will be there in every cuisine. My mother cooks raw banana may be not more than twice a year and so certainly it has no bengali touch.Doyel is not a village girl and hence her idea about raw banana will be no more than common sense anyway.How jealous and biased people keep inventing conspiracy theories amaze me.Just accept the fact that Yasmin is a pretty average cook and the fact that she could stay so much time by selling her tears is more than what she deserved!
