There are very specialised receipes using raw bananas off course but that will be there in every cuisine. My mother cooks raw banana may be not more than twice a year and so certainly it has no bengali touch.

Doyel is not a village girl and hence her idea about raw banana will be no more than common sense anyway.

How jealous and biased people keep inventing conspiracy theories amaze me.

Just accept the fact that Yasmin is a pretty average cook and the fact that she could stay so much time by selling her tears is more than what she deserved!

I have noticed that people on this forum are too much biased in favour of Yasmin. Green banana, Green tuver and Amba haldar are 3 items that are frequently used in Gujarati Cuisine but not as much frequently in other cuisines of India. So there wasn't anything wrong in choosing those 3 items for the innovation task. Rather In my opinionthe Judges allowed the Yasmin to let go with fulldignity without being too much critic too her cooking. All she made was Thepla - which wasn't Thepla at all from any angle, a lilva Kachori - which is a routine common dish of Gujarati cuisine there wasn't any innovation in it at all (you can google it on net) and simple dahi and imbli chatney. I think with that kind of cooking she might have lost even if she wasn't competing with anybody else. Rather Judges were too generous to her by not pointing out all those facts on the national TV.

Yes I like Yasmin as a person. and I don't think that she was intentionally trying to get any sympathy from the people.It is in her nature to be soft and genuine. If she would have been tough lady she wouldn't have faced so much difficulty in her life. And If I would have lots of money I would have helped her to open a restaurant. But that doesn't mean that I have to just support her on cooking competition even if she performed bad. In cooking show everybody should be judged on the basis of their cooking ability on not on the basis of their personality.No doubt she is much better cook than a whole lot of people on this forum but in comparision to the other cooks on the show (including Devyani) she didn't performed that well.[/DIV]

Felt really bad for Yasmeen. The wild card entry Sachin...probably the worst contestant there is in top 5 and she is out...not fair.
