Okay, so I'm sorry for the implied profanity but I couldn't think of a regular word with implications of similar magnitude 🤢 what exactly is up with this woman? she's behaving like a lovesick teenager who got hold of the hottest guy in town and is willing to overlook everything, including her own self-respect, to have him by her side.

I have major issues with her right now.

1) Where is her self-respect? - I think from the few instances during which Brahma snapped at her, it has been made amply clear how much he actually 'respects' her. We saw him switch back to his real self during those few instances, and script-wise those moments were supposed to start giving Uttara small glimpses into Brahma's real self, but they had the reverse effect? 😕 or maybe Uttara chooses to place him over her self-respect too. Basically, she's just a doormat who is being very cunningly used by Brahma without her being even 0.1% aware of it, and she makes his job easier by being a pointless, useless, spineless and worthless piece of furniture.

What has all those years of abuse taught her? I always thought that something which doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. She was supposed to emerge as a stronger woman after that whole phase.

2) I'm no moral police, but hey, is it really so simple to by-pass your conscience and continue following the chosen path? - I know I can't. Hell, I'd take the killing curse a hundred times over before breaking the trust my family has in me. Conscience is a real bi*ch. Sometimes, overwhelming guilt can bring about transformations that no other feeling can. But Uttara seems to have jumped over her conscience with commendable ease 😕 It's not even about acknowledging how much her sister has done for her, it's just about plain and simple thing called 'trust' which she broke the moment she allowed herself to be swept off by Brahma. How tough would it have been to confront Devyani when Brahma was spinning false tales about her out of thin air? They live under the same roof, and are real sisters, no less!

3) If she is so hell bent on keeping this relationship intact, why doesn't she discuss with Brahma about coming clean about it infront of everyone? Afterall, she is doing the right thing, at least according to her. Why give a damn about the family members and how they'd feel? Surely Brahma will support her claim in front of everyone, since he's so in love with her? screw the world Uttara, ask Brahma to give Devyani a divorce and elope with you to a faraway land. Now it can't be that tough, can it?

Lastly, I want to mention this because it has been bugging me for a while - I'm totally sick and tired of watching Priya confronting Uttara at ever corner of the house. It's not helping lady, give it a break already! not to mention it's so monotonous that I almost want to laugh now. I try to skip all their scenes because they're a snoozefest of A-class.

Uttara's behaviour is inexcusable.

But, I will say that the actress does a good job in portraying the character as someone who's a little messed up and easy to manipulate. There's something missing when it comes to Uttara. I'm not talking about basic decency, but something's off. She has some deep seated issues.

None of which means she should be excused or get a pass. She still knows what she's doing, and the consequences.

the one thing i dont understand is why didnt she put this much effort in making her relationship better with supposedly love of her life, her husband, the father of her child. She is ruining all relationships to be with her sister's husband but she killed her husband to end the marriage. And why was she so shocked when rishabh send her to rastogi what the hell is she doing now.

From a story standpoint, I feel the one aspect that is lacking is a good foundation for why Uttara is behaving this way. If one were to go by just what has been shown from the start of the show, the current attitude does not depict any level of character consistency which is sad considering that was one of the hallmarks of this writing team. Just showing Devyani say one time that Uttara is easily manipulable is not enough. Where did the bond between the sisters disappear to? Sibling connections are not so fragile that any third party, no matter who, can break this easily!

I have never understood why it was necessary for the writers to have Uttara betray Devyani this way. The bond between two sisters is the most sacred. This betrayal from Uttara is worse than anything that Bhrama could have ever done to Devyani. After everything they have been together it doesn't make any sense why Uttara would behave this way.

i think jealousy is the reason. She always wanted things that devyani had and now she is getting some of it. Especially after she came to the house to live and saw how dev was loved by her kids and uttara's daughter hated her. She saw the marriage that she wanted with her husband but did not and devyani was having it. She has always said that devyani got everything. And now she wants all those things. After she give the sweet to sweety, it seems that not only she wants brama but she also wants to control the house and the kids that are devyani's. So basically it is all jealousy that brought her to this. The one thing she does not know is that her marriage was far better than devyani's and if she had worked a little harder and gotten rishabh help then she would still be happily married. Devyani needs to understand that it is not being naive or manipulation but her sister wants to snatch the little bits of happiness she has left for her.

I agree with all your points except one! Rishabh was an awful husband and I can't fault Uttara in that marriage. Rishabh used to beat her, rape her and eventually sold her off for some money like a dalaal! I don't think there was any turning back from that.

I agree 100% with all of your other points.

Truly agree with each and every word you have said, she has truly crossed all her limits, I have never seen a woman so weak in morals and values in my life.

Just to prove that she is right she isn't ready to trust her own sister. If it was me at her place I would have tried to analyze the things using my rational mind (but Uttara doesn't seem to possess one) and later I would conclude that what my Di said is right and not my Jijaji. But, Uttara didn't bother to give a second thought to what her sister said to prove it to herself that Devyani is is inferior to her and that she doesn't deserve to be Brahmanand's wife.

If she is so much proud of her affair with Brahmanand then why doesn't she make breaking news kind of announcement in the house that she is having and affair with her Jijaji and that she is his rightful wife and not Devyani. I mean to say if she believes what she is doing is right then why to hide it from the family from her daughter, and also from Aditya, Gaurav and Sweety. I bet she would be thrown out of the house if they come to know about this.

None of the protagonist of this show possess this kind of weakness they really know what they are doing and for whose sake they are doing. They can at least digest the truth unlike Uttara. None of this 3 leads are as selfish as this Uttara.I can understand that people lose control over themselves at times and may do something that becomes a regret of lifetime. But, unfortunately this is not the case here, and I truly hate Uttara for this.

Well its disgusting to even think about affair with jijaji.
No matter how much u hate ur sister that doesnt mean u got license to sleep with ur jeeju.
If she want luxurious life than brahma is not last rich man left on this earth. There r many rich families in this world. Just go and show creativity there.
There r several cases of extra marital affair but affair with jijaji is heights of shamelessness.

Brama insults her verbally and has also "raped" her if you wanna call it since she didnt want and he forced her just like rishabh used to do it. Plus rishab was a broken person and i think somewhere he knew how brama was and that uttara really was smitten by brama so he used to feel jealous. A person like rishab needed help. If that did not work she should have just divorced him. It is pretty obvious that uttara does not care abt what other people wants she does what she likes. He sold her off to someone but here she is selling herself off. Rishab's actions are obviously not forgivable but the things uttara is doing now is worst than that.
