Vidya crying as she tells Imli that she has to tell everyone the truth, that she was responsible for everything, and will have to tell everyone. Imli tells her that it's not her fault, that not only Gaurav but also the rest of the family will hold her at fault. She quickly hurries to get the file out of the cabinet when Uttara and Devyani enter the room, and as they talk to Vidya, Imli hides the file underneath a stack of books. Imli thinks that if everyone finds out that she was behind this, both her and Vidya will be kicked out of the house, and she hurries to tell Vidya that she needs to rest.
SSP talking to people about saving Gaurav's name and reputation. Bauji overhears and tells him that Gaurav ddn't want his help, that he'll be hurt if he finds out what SSP has done. SSP argues that Gaurav shouldn't have done anything, that if he had listened to what he wanted, then he would have been better. Bauji interrupts and asks if SSP had done what his father wanted him to do ever? And then he tells SSP to handle the situation as if Aditya was in trouble. Right then, Devyani and Uttara and come and Devyani asks SSP if he talked to Gaurav. SSP says that Gaurav simply refused to take any of his help.
Right then, Gaurav enters the house, all dull and dreary, and Devyani rushes over to him. Gaurav tells her that everything seems like a nightmare, that if he wakes up everything will be alright like before. But I know it's a reality, a reality that will destroy Gaurav Jhaakar.
Vidya asleep when she keeps imagining the happenings of the night before, and starts worrying in her sleep, and she thinks that Gaurav was taken away by the police and everything. Imli stops her as she gets up, and Vidya tells her that she saw these dreams. Imli tells her that the police outside, and Vidya is crying as she rushes out to where the family is standing with the police. The policeman tells SSP that they have to take Gaurav under custody until the enquiry is complete. Devyani asks what proof do they have that Gaurav was responsible for this?
The policeman says that people have filed complaints against him, and they have to take action now. SSP looks angry, as he hands over a set of papers to the policeman, and they take him away. Vidya crying for Gaurav, and the other women try to calm her down. And she faints.
Gaurav at the police station being put in the jail cell, and everyone else in their own places, all sad and worried.
Devyani calls for Imli later and asks if she saw Vidya, and Imli sees Vidya sitting in a corner. The two rush to her, where she's just expressionless. Vidya begins crying as she tells Devyani that it wasn't Gaurav's fault, it was her and Imli's fault. That she stole the file, and because of that, all these troubles happened on Gaurav. Devyani stunned as she hears all this, and Vidya just bawling. Devyani rushes to make her sit down. And then asks her to explain everything.
The policemen taking mugshots of Gaurav, and making fun of him. Another police officer comes and stops them from doing all this. But the policemen continue to tease him.
Vidya telling Devyani that if anyone needs to go to jail, it should be her, that if anyone should be punished it should be her. She thought that if she didn't do anything, then Gaurav would be separated from her, and because of that, she did all of this. Vidya crying again, as she tells Devyani that she has no right on gaurav's love now. Devyani tells her to stop, that what happened has already happened. She advises her not to tell anyone, that SSP will help him out. Vidya says that gaurav would ever take his help, and Devyani says that she'll take care of everything.
Right then, SSP comes inside, and Devyani tells Vidya not to tell anyone else what happened. And she hurries to the door. Imli comes to calm Vidya down. Devyani asks what happened, and SSP says that Gaurav's behind bars now, that once the FIR is filed, then he can do nothing, that Gaurav's license will be revoked. Devyani pelads with him to do something, and SSP says that he wont do anything because Gaurav doesn't even want him to. Uttara then begins to ask SSP to help Gaurav out, and he just flips out. And he blames Devyani for pampering Gaurav, that if she had taken care of him better, then this situation wouldn't have arisen ever. Devyani in tears, and she apologizes and tells him to please do something now. SSP says that he'll do what he has to, but she has to teach him something, that because of his foolishness, the family's reputation shouldn't be dragged down some more.
Bauji makes a comment about Devyani's pleading, and Devyani says that she'll explain Gaurav. Bauji responds that if Gaurav hasn't taken SSP's help until now, why will he do so now? If SSP helps gaurav now, then he'll remind everyone of this fact until the end of time. Devyani says she doesn't care, that she just cares about her son now and will d anything for him, and quickly leaves.
Vidya sitting all dull when Imli comes with food, but Vidya doesn't respond. She begins to tell her that she'll get Gaurav out, that she'll do something or the other, and Imli stops her, and tells her she can't do anything. Vidya breaks down once more.
Precap: Devyani talking to Gaurav about him not taking SSP's help. Gaurav tells her to return home and he'll take care of this matter. Devyani tells him he has to listen, and she doesn't want to hear anything, that he'll have to take SSP's help.
