SSP's character ??

Today the characterization of SSP is quite confusing. What do they want to potray him as ?

1) Is he is a good person in general with just one weakness (that is woman) : It does not appear so. If that was the case why should he give cruel expressions while molesting? If it was weakness, the expressions would have been very different. Why should he not feel conscious about spoiling someone's life for his weakness ? The phone call to priya. The person who has a weakness, under the influence of the weakness may do something, but will atleast repent later. But here he does not seem to even bother a little bit about spoiling an inncoent girl's life.

2) Is he is a bad person in general: It does not appear so also. We see him standing honestly in more than one occasion. Even in today's episode we have seen him blasting his friend for offering him bribe.

So, the only possibility that I can see right now is: that he is a completely black person. That is he does things to paint himself as Saint in front of the whole world, but has lot of black attributes to himself. He is a complete jerk behind that Saint Mask. Interestingly from the episode, it appears as though his black traits are well known atleast among his subordinates (the way the other police people supported him). And more interestingly none of his family members appear to know any of his dark black secrets.

First of all, does there exist a completely bad person? I personally dont agree to such existence, in normal circumstances. I mean, there can be few mentally inbalanced people. Most of the people are grey in nature. Have both black and white traits and their behaviour can change based on circumstances, the person associated and many more things. Earlier days, both the films as well as serials were potraying black and white characters. But nowdays grey characters are becomng more and more popular as they are more realistic. Especially in a serial like Maryada, which appears to be more realistic, do they want to show SSP as a complete black character.

In all what is Maryada doing ? Is it another typical serial with usual dramatic, unrealistic twists and turns ?

As the story unfolds we are seeing more of SSP...

He seems to be saint outside but is hideous person who has veiled himself on that police uniform. I think both Devyani, her father in law are aware of all his wrong doings. I feel even somehow Gaurav knows a liitle of his acts. May be that is why he doesnot have a good relationship with his father plus look at the dadaji, he do not like SSP at all infact they do not even communicate with each other in regular terms other than SSP trying to carry a conversation filled with sarcasm like on Maha episode.. Dadaji was so pissed after SSp said something (which i forgot),...Dadaji was marching toward him when Devyani stopped him.

Since this show is all about boldness...their might be the subject of marital rape and abuse

SSP's character is like a wolf in sheep's clothing! Only Adi and his sister in SSP's family seem to be completely unaware of his true colors!!

i am interested as what SP's dad has to say about him, there must be an incident or a string of incidents that he does not get along with him....

i think he is not corrupt but his weakness probably women in distress...because he seemed ok untill priya fell on him....its almost like a trigger- a mental thing- like some sort of psychosis!!
