@Rehana...Hiya...Eid Mubarak! Yup...if the 86 in your ID is what I think it is, I am older...much more older than you...😆.
See...physical abuse is far more complex than just simple acting out and hurting people. There are many causes...psychological, stress etc. The Uttara-Rishabh track is very beautifully scripted...I hope it stays that way.

This was a filler episode for me so this take is low on the analysis...sorry! But a couple of things did stand out so here goes anyway!
The episode started with perfect continuity from Priya's fake slap to Aditya in the closing scenes of Tuesday's one. After distancing herself from him by shouting, Priya retreats inside her home. Now, I have been saying for a few days now that Ridhi's acting needs to shape up and this scene reminded me of exactly why. During the post-slap confrontation outside, Ridhi was pretty good. I actually felt Priya's pain and desire to keep Aditya away from the murkiness of her life in her histrionics. But once she was inside her home, the acting was strictly average. Emoting crying is not just about heaving shoulders or wiping eyes. Where was the desperation that Priya's character was to be feeling at that moment? Also...what was with Priya's voice-over in this scene...the modulation did not reflect the emotions...especially the crying! This was one of the first Maryada scenes that has disappointed me.
Back outside, Jaggi is trying to distract Aditya who is thinking about what happened with Priya. The original lover boy that he is, it was not surprising to find him not be angry about the slap and instead be understanding of Priya's feelings.
Back at the Jhaakar house, Brahmanand is getting ready for work and Devyani tries to talk him in to getting Rishabh his job back. In response, Brahmanand makes it clear that he wants no tie with Rishabh. Vidya' and Gaurav's return diverts Devyani's attention who misreads the happiness in Vidya's eyes as a sign that her interference worked. Although Brahmanand fakes normalcy with Gaurav, it's clear that it is not reciprocated. The acting in this scene was spot on and flawless all the way around.
Meanwhile in Ghaziabad, Aditya & Jaggi return to Priya's house and meet her father.
Back again at the Jhaakar house, Imli helps Vidya change and keeps pressing her to confess if Gaurav and she consummated their marriage. Like Tuesday's episode, Vidya's character blurts out the truth about how Gaurav wants a friendship first before proceeding. By now, it should not be a surprise to any of you that I liked the character consistency in this scene. 😆
The episode ended with the most interesting scene of the day...Gaurav getting a call from his girl or boy friend. Just before being interrupted by Devyani, Gaurav said "Tumhe maloom hai main uske saath nahi so saktha"...interesting choice of words. Is this an indication that Gaurav is gay? Devyani also said "Jante ho na" while confronting the caller...not "janti ho na"...another sign? Maybe. I loved the intensity both Indrani Haldar and Dakssh Singh brought to this scene. If you look at Indrani's eyes here versus Ridhi's in the first scene, I think you will understand what I find lacking in the opening scene versus the closing one of this episode.
Overall...it was a decent episode. It amazes me how even the filler episodes of this series have so much more to offer compared to the epic ones of the others.
Loved:
1. The writing: This series challenges me as a viewer to pay close attention to what I see and hear.
As always, feel free to tear this apart...
Cheers,
Jaya
