Why did Chinu and Mr. Pradhan buy return tickets if they were not going back in a train? 😕

i think the train tickets had metaphorical importance for priya (the whole one-way ticket thing)
the cv's probably emphasised the whole thing about return and one-way tickets to highlight priya's pre-determined desire to die
i think that the cv's then decided to make priya think that aditya didnt really care about her by showing him standing roadside (although didn't she see the front of the car hoisted up?) and the only way she could see him standing on a road was if she was travelling by road - in a bus instead of the train
at least that's how i interpeted it but the bottom line is CV change of mind
