Since the last couple of episodes, I wasn't really liking Mahi Way for some reason. Remember that episode of Mahi-Ishaan's first date when everyone was like OMG it was the best episode ever? Yeah, I didn't like it. 😆 Not that I am crazy or anything, but just because I kept thinking something is amiss. If the same scene had been of Shiv-Mahi, I would have been very excited. I always thought, and I am still 100% positive that Ishaan is a grey character and is DEFINITELY doing all this for a selfish reason.

First I though that okay Ishaan is playing a game and he is going to take Mahi in this dreamland and then drop her like a hot potato; and Mahi would be supported by Shiv and then something will happen between them. Then the whole kiss fiasco happened and call me old fashioned but I didn't like it, still I was like okay no big deal Shiv is on his way.

But after watching the last episode, I don't know what to think. If Mahi really sleeps with Ishaan, then it is going to be TOO much and she really doesn't deserve Shiv. For God's sake she doesn't even like Ishaan, love is a whole other thing. She is completely smitten by him and his colognes and his looks and his body and his dressing. Period. She doesn't even seem remotely interested in the actual HIM. I am truly dissapoointed and I am hoping that they don't sleep together because that is just going to ruin everything.

Plus, last time when we got to see our dear Shiv😳 by the golgappa stand. He asked Mahi if they could meet somewhere, etc. And Mahi, o-so-rudely kept walking and was like yeah we'll see. I really didn't like her attitude but I thought that they would soon become good friends. But last episode, her episode towards Shiv was plain nasty. Some people would say she was worried about Sid, how about, Oh Shiv I gotta go now, I'll talk to you later? But she was like Oh I don't have time right now and in such a rude tone.

I am sure Shiv is probably a big hot shot in the fashion industry and that would be really cool. But if Mahi has to end up with Shiv (which she probably will) she needs to be shown to do some damage control and show some real remorse before she finds about Shiv's status. I would hate to see her go to Shiv because Ishaan dumped her. Shiv definitely deserves better than that.

It was really rude the way mahi brushed aside shiv😡and as u said she could have said it a polite away.Actually she has never been nice to him except on the day on the terrace😒.
About ishaan , I always had felt he is not gonna fell in love with her, mind u not bcoz she is fat but bcoz he is a casanova. Mahi is not a naive girl and she knows very well she has very less chance of getting married to a person like ishaan. I think more than getting married , she is desperate to have a boyfriend, kiss and 'other things. I really dont think she is confused as to what she is doing. She is perfectly aware that she is going to sleep with ishaan. And this is where I cant continue liking her. I mean we may feel sorry for a person who does things unknowingly but here she isn actually looking thrilled and smiling all the way. And does she really think ishan is going to marry her after they do 'it'? again the answer is no.
And I too dont want her to end up with shiv just bcoz ishaan is no longer available.
This show is actually going downhill at the moment- not bcoz the protogonist is doing everything the general Indian audience cant relate to , but for the fact that they are showing it as if this is something very natural in India.

I have accepted the theory that Mahi Way is a urban (read Western) show but just with the setting in India. So the whole modernisation of it all doesn't worry me at all now.
As for Mahi, well I guess she needs her heart broken pretty hard for her to escape her so called love bubble with Ishan. Sleeping with him (I still haven't seen the precap so I can't judge for myself) and then having Ishan run away will literally emotionalise Mahi but at least she hits earth again.
Also, I don't think Mahi will run after Shiv after being used by Ishan. She'll probably never want to see another man again. But Shiv will push his hand in friendship and I guess this is where season 1 will end. Season 2 will be about MaHiv...😍

hope it happens as u presume. But jenny , why do u think she would be so heart broken that she may not 'want to see' another man again??????Does she actually expect a man like ishaan to be faithful to her? remember even when she was drooling over ishan , she was trying hard to find a 'boyfriend' with the help of her friends😆. Is she really serious about ishaan now? I doubt it. atleast they havent shown a single scene to prove otherwise😕. It has always been "o my god, he will kiss me today" type crap; Or may be the creatives are trying to say physical bonding is needed to make relationships stronger.
betw, what kind of urban (western )india are they trying to show😲

Well, I do want Mahi and Shiv to be together because I don't want Mahi to be judged by that one mistake she made.

Yes, it was a BIG mistake, she should've known better than going on a weekend with Ishan and.... well, sleeping with him.

She does think she's in love with Ishan. We know she isn't and barely knows him but she bases the idea of true love on what she sees in YRF movies... they fall in love just like that and so she think she's in love too. And even Ishan hasn't done less to make her feel special. He has been very charming and totally making her feel special... so she isn't totally at fault.

I'm sure Shiv would understand her. And after Ishan dumps her, I'm sure Mahi will be heart broken. She will realize the difference between movie romance and real romance and the perfect guy is actually a guy like Shiv not Ishan.

I agree with you on Mahi being Naive and not really knowing what love is. Thats why I didn't mind even till the kissing craziness, but now they're showing her sleeping with him and all that, and that is just crossing the line, don't you think so? And it is not like some Ekta kapoor melodramatic situation is going to come, thunder and lightning and a hut n fire an all, she knows what she is doing. She was laughing about it with Sid too when he asked if she really realized what was meant when Ishaan asked her to go out with him for the weekend.

Also, even if she is in so-called-love with Ishaan, she has no reason to be down right mean with Shiv. Thats what really got me. If they along with the Ishaan track, consecutively showed Mahi-Shiv's friendship growing and them becoming good buddies then that would have been real nice. I want Mahi n Shiv to be together but the writers have to do some damage control before getting them together.

I really like Mahi Way😳 and can really relate to her so i just don't like her character getting spoiled like that.

Yeah I really want Shiv-Mahi to be together but not because Ishaan left her, that just wouldn't be good. Their love story has to develop nicely and Mahi has to regret how she behaved with Shiv and start treating him nicely just like he treats her....
And about your other point, I live in the US 😆 and still I was like wow they are showing all these people to be quite westernized....

Shamil,
From what I've seen, although Mahi thinks things through alot, she's a woman fuelled by emotions. According to her, she's given her best to Ishan but as we now know what happens next week, Mahi is crushed in her feelings and will need major pick-me-ups therapy. Also, from what I've read, she isn't so happy going with Shiv either albeit how caring he was towards her.
What I meant by the bold is that the show is certainly based in India with an Indian setting etc but the whole scope of it is most definately western. And I don't think I'm wrong when I say that there are a bunch of people in India who actually live their lives like this. It's no biggie.

Yes, I do agree. I didn't want this to happen... I wasn't too excited about the kiss either. Before I could totally identify with Mahi, but now I'm finding differences. She was taking it lightly, but when that actually happened she was consoling herself that she trusts Ishan. And was expecting him to actually propose her the next morning. She genuinely wanted to get married... But that doesn't lessen the consequence of her actions. She did what she did, and after deliberate thought.

About Shiv, yes, I'm always irked to see Mahi behaving SO rudely with Shiv. I mean, why? The guy's always so respectful and nice and what does he get in return? Mahi's rudeness?

I'm hopeful that now Ishan has totally turned out to be not-so-perfect, Mahi will actually look around her and see that her perfect guy is actually Shiv. Now hopefully that Ishan magic is wearing off, she will realize what a nice guy Shiv is.
