And this just occurred to me.....today Ishan was nice to Mahi, he was down to earth, sweet to her....

Whenever Shiv has met her, he has always been nice to her too...in the face of ALL her belligerence....lol....but that never strikes her as 'perfect'....cuz apparently perfection only comes in the Ishan Singh Ahluwalia package. LOL

Talk about irony....Mahi jhaadoes a major lecture in the beginning of the epi about how guys make all kinds of excuses but they basically mean to say the same thing....."you're ugly"....what exactly is Mahi doing right now then....is it not the same thing but with a slight variation? Shiv's 'niceness' is brushed aside cuz he's just a 'chaddi buddy' who's appearance is '0/10' in Mahi's books....lol

Chalo is hafte Shiv ke darshan Rishta.com mein hi honge it seems as Isha's childhood friend...LOL

btw Mahi's daadi was in MNIK for a bit as well...lol....random info ;-)

Oh it's Shiv's "Meri Mahi" any day!

Frankly, I've always loved Shiv and disliked Ishaan since Day 1. As much as Shiv appeared to be just special and down to earth, Ishaan always appeared to be shallow and vain.

Since last episode, I was beginning to like Ishaan... I saw his character developing more and realized that maybe he's not shallow at all... he's just around people all the time.

This episode was magical. Loved Mahi-Ishaan date and the walk. It was just simple and cute. I did notice a few things though. First off when he said that he has only done this before alone and Mahi's the first girl, I couldn't digest that. That came across as a pure lie.

I thought the restaurant part was just cute! He came across as a true gentleman making sure Mahi is comfortable and opens up. But then the walk and him falling for Mahi so soon didn't just gel with everything.

And then the precap... I've a feeling that he might be doing some kind of a project or an article for which he's using Mahi. But ultimately he might fall for her. I just don't know if Mahi will forgive him and go back to him or will she have realized Shiv's value by then.

I absolutely agree with you, Shiv is totally ignored in this show. WHY? If it's Mahi-Ishaan then it will be Jassi 2 all over again and I don't want to watch that especially after Ishaan being a total jerk.

We want more of Shiv! Why can't Mahi see he's just perfect for her? Actually she can see that, she said herself 'Mujhe aesa koi kyun nahin milta?" But then she's crazy about Ishaan only.

Anu I completely agree with you on that guy-wise, Shiv is anyday FAR MORE perfect for Mahi than Ishaan. His 'Meri Mahi' is sweeter than Ishaan's 'Talwar' for sure...

The thing with Shiv is, Mahi doesn't really put on a facade in front of him... She doesn't feel the need to basically, she is just her 'comfort food eater sarcastic self' around Shiv, and he accepts her just the way she is, quirks included. On the other with Ishaan, Mahi feels the need to dress up, and order for a Ceasar salad, instead of that pizza she craves. I think somewhere because she admires Ishaan so much, she isn't able to be herself around him... She is ultra-polite and self-conscious, even when Ishaan tries to make her comfortable. Which I think says a lot, because for a successful relationship you need that basic comfort level, though its granted that you would obviously have to develop it as the relationship progresses. And she doesn't have that with Ishaan at all, even when he tries to keep her at ease, she is unable to be herself around Ishaan, she thinks like a million times of what should she say to him to impress him...

On the other hand Shiv is ONE person Mahi speaks her mind to, like that is evidenced in the Gol Gappa scene itself IMO, because while Mahi is usually accustomed to hiding her thoughts in the office and not lashing out at Mona & Sona when she wants to... With Shiv, she speaks her mind without any worries or tension. And Shiv gives it back to her... He too speaks his mind to Mahi, without any sort of qualms.
As for Shiv not appearing much in the episodes, I think its kind of realistic really... I mean I guess the producers want to establish Mahi and his characters first and build-up to the main story, instead of rushing through it, which IMO they're currently doing with Mahi and Ishaan (which makes me think that there is definitely some ulterior motive to the date from Ishaan's side as to how he developed an interest in her so quickly) .

Well said, Mahi.....yeah, I also find it hard to believe when Ishan says that he's never been out on a walk till the wee hours of the morning with some girl....he was deffo a perfect gentleman to Mahi during the date....did his best to make her feel at ease and open up and that was very sweet of him....but some things don't add up....it's too soon. Yeah, he may truly fall for her in the future....but for now, I don't think that's happened...he seems to think of her as a friend max....or he might be a jerk like the precap indicates. I also wish that Shiv had been shown for atleast a bit in the epi...it's not asking for so much also yaar😆

@bold: Excellent points, Sonia.....yeah, it's true that she is deffo more herself and comfortable around Shiv....she is the uninhibited Mahi around him....with Ishan, she feels the need to put up a facade to impress him....which is why us Mahi-Shiv shippers hope that they're the ones meant to be....lol

As for the lack of Shiv.....yeah I guess it's realistic given the fact that practically he has no connection with her day to day routine unless he meets her at a golgappa place or the terrace by accident.....but still yaar....it's like Ishan all over the place...she sees him everyday cuz they work int he same building.....they even show less of Sid :((...lol....I want to see more of both Shiv and Sid....

Yeah, "Talwar" does sound very buddy-ish and unromantic. And I'm so glad. I want Mahi-Ishan to be very good friends.3
@cute2say:I completely agree with every word of your post. Truly well said!

*sigh* I totally missed the epi cuase of an award show last night. *grr* But, he calls her "Talwar" =/
I rather find that as a buddy-buddy thing rather than anything else.
"Meri Mahi" just sounds soo..*sigh* Its just so dreamy.
