I haven't watched any of the other shows, but how is rishta.com? Do you guys recommend that as well? I don't mind watching another weekly.

Hey, Yea exactly the start of any show is to introduce the characters well, if the beginning is not good, what can people expect, people will know that its the first episode and it will be slow, there expectation is not going to be any higher than that. come on people are not stupid, 😃 .. However, I think Mahi Way should be Everyday show Kos i love it 😆😆 ...

LOL granted everyone has different tastes...but if your friends found Rishta.com slow and boring, I SERIOUSLY doubt they will be able to sit through Powder 😆 😆

I wouldn't classify these shows as 'slow'...maybe they are 'slow' for ppl used to characters engaging in extended eyelocks and trip/catch scenes with a random breeze blowing in the air in the very first meeting :S lol....I find these shows to be natural and realistic....it's a decent pace....I don't see the need to rush....I thought things were unfolding at a pretty normal pace.

LOL XD
Who said she watched Powder? 😆
I wouldn't be surprised if she changed the channel with only one glance of it 😆 😆
I on the other hand, Liked all the shows VERY much 😊 Even Powder. 😊 it's an interesting show 😊

I meant from other viewer's point of view, Come on I mean most teens who watch these shows are very impatient even some adults too. They get impatient and change the channel quickly if something interesting doesn't happen for the next few mins.
And about Slow, What I meant about that is that I think they could have quicken the pace a lil in Rishta.com or put more humor but I didn't mind the pace at all but my sister on the other hand who has the remote changes the channel quicker than I can blink if nothing interesting happens.

Yes, I agree I found the pace very normal and realistic but that doesn't mean that most indian viewers will find it the same way especially since most the indian tv viewers are the types to watch saas-bahu shows and tacky college romance shows of Star One.
Whatever I said before is what I think most indian viewers would be thinking like because I know a lot of people who get impatient very easily and change the channel pretty quickly if nothing interesting happens and also I have noticed that there are many people out there who don't like YRF movies so they think even the shows will be cheesy too so they only give one of the five shows a small look and if they find that boring than they don't try and watch the others as well in the end it's about what the majority of the viewers think.

This is just what I have about majority of the viewers and that's why I agree with the article writer when she said the pace could have been a lil less slower since most viewers get impatient very quickly and change the channel and in weekends there are many movies or award shows or something else on so they have many different things they can watch instead.

Rishta.com is cute as well....I'd recommend it for sure....the lead characters have a cute chemistry b/w them...although Mahi way's first epi was more entertaining, Rishta.com is my second most fav. show out of these new YRF shows :-)

@Rin03: LOL then I think it's about time Indian television viewers broadened their horizons....if there was a time when ppl DID have the patience to enjoy quality programming, maybe they can find that patience somehow again? :P....woh kya kehte hain?? Sabar ka phal meetha hota hai, haan? lol

I think the pace really matters when the show is a drama. If nothing big happens in the first episode itself, it FAILS as a drama.

This is a comedy. It's intent is to entertain the viewers and make them laugh. There's no edge-of-the-seat suspense or "omg her husband is actually her brother" kind of trauma. And I guess, since it yields to a certain type of audience, it's possible that others may be bored.

Well said....and that is exactly what I found to be a problem with Powder....it's supposed to be more of a drama given it's setting....yet the characters are not that hard-hitting....atleast I wasn't that impressed with what I watched of it.

Yes I definitely agree with you.
Rishta.com is definitely a must with all the other shows. Their all VERY good, Nowadays I'm eagerly waiting for the weekends because finally there are such good shows up to watch.

I also noticed that Friday is for Sci-Fi, Saturday is for comedy and Sunday is for Slice of Life.
I love the fact that the YRF guys are giving us so many different genres each day 😃

Yes, I know. 😊
I think it's time that indian viewers broadened their horizons too but we have to wait and watch if they will or won't. But I'm pretty that the YRF shows are going to be VERY popular 😃 😃 😃

And ALSO!
PLEASE don't think I don't like these shows or something because I REALLY do! but what I'm saying is coming from what I my friends and some other people who have given one of these shows a look have said. I tell them to give it another try because these shows are VERY good.
