@Rin03: LOL please don't take it personally...I was just commenting on viewer mindsets in general....I know what you mean cuz there are many ppl I know of as well who probably won't take to these shows either....but I sincerely wish that the quality and subtle class of these shows would be appreciated....not everything has to be as 'in your face' as the rest of the shows on TV...*sigh* lol

That's absolutely fine! I'm sure nobody thinks you dislike these shows. All shows are different and are geared towards different audiences, and just because one person likes a particular show, it doesn't automatically follow that everybody else will too. And I'm glad you're bringing up comments from your friends. We should always discuss the pros AND cons. What fun is it if everybody agrees with each other? 😉😛

No no of course not just didn't want anyone to think I didn't like the shows or anything like that 😕

Yes I know what you mean 😔 But I'm sure that these shows will become VERY popular and the trps will be VERY good but the only problem is actually for me I don't think it will be as high as the soaps and all out there and the trps have to be that high since Sony has put A LOT of money into the YRF shows it seems so I really do not want these shows to be dropped because it didn't get to the top. 😔

Ah thank you 😊
I actually think that for many people it's the 'First impression matters' for them when they see a show and if the first look of the shows doesn't appeal to them then they don't even give it another try and even if their other friends ask if they should try out the show they might say it's boring or something so like that.

I mean, We us, We know and understand why the pace is like that and how realistic and natural it is. We understand how good the show is but others don't, Most don't understand or take time to understand so like that I was just saying maybe if the pace could be a lil less slower.
But you never know? I mean most people out there, Judge the book by it's cover actually most people in India judge the book by it's cover. Ironically this is also what Mahi Way is about too, Judging the book by it's cover. Most people out there just see what's on the outside rather than what's on the inside.
Same goes for tv viewers they just start judging from just one promo and set their minds to whether this is bad or good.
So maybe even if they change the pace they will still not like it.

I think the issue some ppl would probably have with these YRF shows is that they don't fall under the branch of ANY of the typical shows on TV right now which ppl have become sooooooo used to that if they don't get THAT sort of dose of 'romance' or 'drama' or whatever, then they don't feel entertained :S lol

Oh well....to each their own....all I hope for is that such shows also get a chance to breathe and grow bigger on TV than just the usual nonsense we see.

Uhm, okay I read through the 4 pages and had fun reading different POVs. My two cents.

First Impression isn't necessarily the last impressions. There were shows on channels like star one that were highly appealing to the viewers. And as and when the show got its viewers hooked, the quality deteriorated to such an extent that it can never be redeemed.

There are some people who opt for off beat movies instead of romantic comedies, because they prefer movies with a proper storyline. Though they may be slow, they do grasp your attention.

In these YRF shows, the subtlety is it's USP. There's nothing preachy about any of these shows. They are entertainers, but are even realistic at the same time. No comments on Powder, as I haven't watched the whole thing. I honestly got bored, so yeah.

But shows like Mahi Way and Rishta.com have a realistic concept, and I'm sure with time, even the reviewer would be forced to change her mind. Shows can't satisfy all the audience in one go, can they?

Some prefer romance, some prefer realistic shows, and some prefer light entertainers. Our choices our different. But one things for sure, these shows should be given a chance. I didn't find Rishta.com and Mahi way slow at all! It got me hooked from the beginning itself.

So yeah, that's all I wanted to say :)

I think most of these shows could have been edited a lil more or maybe made the pace a lil more quicker of the scenes.
I mean many viewers get bored easily if nothing interesting or is the pace of the episode is very slow, Mahi way is one of the best our of the five shows because it's genre is comedy which makes everyone excited and interested in what will happen next or what will adorable Mahi say next 😆 😆

But the other shows are kinda slow, Which bores the viewers quickly at least my friend didn't even watch 3 mins of Rishta.com because she got bored. I like all the shows VERY much 😃 but other viewers would have different thoughts so it would be good if they quicken pace of the episodes.
I think I understand why their calling Powder the best out of the lot. I mean it's a very good show, Well written and all but the only thing is that it's a bit ummm.... I dunno what word I'm looking for but just it's not something that will attract a lot of viewers otherwise it's a good show.

Mahi Way and Rishta.com is great!!!!
But Seven really needs to increase its pace!!!!!I am giving it a chance but the first episode bored me!!!!
Mahi Way better start the Golgappa guy track fast!!!!
As for Powder absence of a love life of Usmaan put me off it!!!!My sis saw it and said its nice but you won't like it!!!!
It would have been better if they had a girl for him in his team!!!!Someone like Brinda only older!!!!!

I just love the fact that these shows air once a week. This I hope will lead to better quality shows, instead of same rona dhona crap
