- Why Katherine is a REAL Garud and not a Fake one ( ie she has fake tattoo and she knows martial arts )
I have watched yesterday's episode twice - regular time and repeat time also. 😛
1. Rudra bought Charles, Katherine and Thapadiya mai to meet his Dadi.

2. Dadi gives talk with Charles and Katherine.. , she hugs Thapadiya mai 😳😳 She gives ladoo to all of them. Thapadiya mai takes ladoo's.. and dances and goes out of Rudra's dadi's house... 😲😆

3. Rudra's father uses GPS to see 3 Garud's together.. 😲😆 ie Rudra , Katherine and Charles. Thapadiya mai was not there in the room when the GPS was functioning.. else he might have seen 4 Garud's together? 🤔 He decides to go and see them.. 😛

4. Rudra's father closes the GPS and leaves.. Thapadiya mai goes again in Rudra's Dadi's house asking for food.. 😳😆

^ This shows that Katherine is a REAL Garud.. I have a feeling.. she is a mole.. and she will cheat rest of the 6 Garuds.. and deliver Amrit to the Secret society.. 😡

- If Thapadiya mai had been in the room when Rudra's father used GPS.. he might hav seen 4 Garud's together in one place.. 😕

My dear Aparna,

Thanks a lot for liking this one, my dear. Where would I be without readers like you?

Thanks just as much for your very pertinent comments, especially those I have marked blue. They reflect the sense of unease I feel as I contemplate this vague, aimless, clueless, disconsolate, moping 28 year old. Traumas might have been there, but the tough ones get over them and move on, especially as there is a great mission awaiting him, if he is to believe his baba. As you say, this is not the Rudra I signed on for!

Well, I suppose he will come around soon enough, but overall, it is Shivanand whom I admire and look out for. He is truly brave, with the kind of bravery that weighs the dangers and still confronts them, calmly, and his mission focus never falters or gets sidetracked. A little bit less of paanv padna to his basilisk of a mother would be better - last night I fully expected him to do it the third time as well for the laddoo!😉 - but then one cannot have everything!

Shyamala Di

PS: As for those posters of Shivanand, maybe, now that he is bald-pated and goes around with a monkey cap, whereas he had a neat crop of hair in the poster, no one could recognise him!😉😉

As for recognising the garudas, Shivanand said last night that only Rudra could do that. But Rudra did not recognise either Thappadiya Mai or Katharine as garudas last night. Maybe his battery is down with all this melancholia!😉

But one cannot understand how they have still not learnt about Animesh, though one has to remember that he would not have been declared dead at all, thanks to Naanu

Thank you Shyamal Di for the lovely analysis. Esp. Liked The description of Shiva, and your pot pourri. While I share the same views as you with regard to Rudra-Maya love story, I will give the show some more time to see how things unfold.

Shruti, Santhi and Arshi have put out some wonderful points. The multiple emotions that Rudra is going through, his upbringing, dealing with love and separation etc are understandable.

Rudra's sudden calmness, his so called Khalipan, Daadi nagging about kanya yog, aise lag raha Jaise biwi chod ek chali gayi ho, Tapadiya Mai repeatedly saying, 'jaanta hai Maya kitna pyar karti hai tujhe, are the things that seemed out of place for me. He does not appear as if he is dealing with lot of pent up emotions. Remember how they showed the young Rudra who was calm and composed. This one is more like a majnu. He is going about life like a Robot. He has turned like this after Maya left. And Daadi adding fuel to it maybe deliberate as Shruti says. Manipulative Daadi trying to have Rudra on her side.

Arshi said its a very big thing to turn from Maimui's bachwa to this Sarvashreshtha Garuda. It definitely is, but here he does not know even 0.1 % of the whole thing. I also agree that he will realise all this when he again gets the shock of losing a loved one or in danger, but... I don't know maybe I was expecting a different portrayal of him. A completely restless, bechain Rudra trying to understand what is happening, this majnu type with no interest in anything ...kuch jama nahin

As it is in the show we see situations are thrust upon us and the explanation/ answers are given later. So I'm sure this will also be the same. I know Rudra will have to come up out of this and take up the mantle. but this sudden focus on Rudra-Maya with nothing else happening around is kind of odd.

Shivanand is roaming around fearlessly, Balivesh-Greyerson don't need him anymore (wonder what happened to the scene when they were putting up posters of Shivanand everywhere). How is Shivanand going to locate his Garudas, coz the computer can only tell him the location. Rudra-Daadi-Shivanand, none of them know about Animesh's death. Many more small things which are not being addressed.

Isn't Shiva more like Raja Harishchandra, than Snape - truly dedicated to his belief and completely unwavering from his "truth", even his family an extension of the same standards that he holds himself by?

And your comments, my poppet, are like Lindt's chocoballs, with caramel or peanut butter or coffee innards, which simply melt in your mouth! Thank you for taking so much trouble with them, and for being so entertaining as well, without fail. You are an unfailing pepper upper, and I need one these days.

I am clubbing my responses to both your posts in this one, in order not to be blocked suddenly by the 15 posts a day limit.

Yes, I knew that you would like this one a lot, for Shivanand is your favourite character in Mahakumbh, just as he is mine these days.He leaves the rest behind effortlessly, and it is not just the script, though his little scene last night with Rudra was intensely moving - see how gently he seeks his son's cooperation!. It is more the performance by a very skilled actor.

As for Daadi, she is getting to be more and more basilisk-like in her passages with Shivanand. See how she glares at him last night, as if he was something the cat had brought in! If looks could kill, poor Shivanand would be cold and dead long ago. The way in which she displays open suspicion of his intentions. Even when she is handing over the prasad, she has to add Ishwar tumhein sadbuddhu de! All the while the look in her eyes clearly indicates that she has no hope of any such thing happening😡. And yet Shivanand falls at her feet at the drop of a hat; I was surprised that he did not do it for the third time for the laddoo!😉

As for Rudra, I am not inclined to cut him as much slack as many here, and I devoutly hope he pulls up his socks soon.

Coming to your second post, the bits about the Brahma Nisht Panth's resources doing yoganidra as well, and the Goebbels doctrine, had me in stitches. You, my dear, are such fun!

As for the inimitable Mr. Darcy, can he ever be wrong? Right now, I am reading PD James' loving tribute to Miss Austen and her chef d'oeuvre, in the form of a mystery novel, Death comes to Pemberley. It is really a very good read, above all as comfortingly familiar to Austenites, for it feels as if the original was still around.

As for your rebuttal of the means and ends critique of Shivanand, you are spot on, my pet. If any such situation presented itself, you can be sure Daadi would have done all that the Pandavas and Lord Krishna did without batting an eyelid. The only difference would have been that she would have swanned her way out with a nice laurel wreath on her head as well!😉

Lovely post aunty, as usual. Your posts are like the chocoand cherry toppings on icecreams. Makes serial viewing all the more delicious.😃

Right from the start Shivanand impressed me more than Rudra. Don't know if it is the character or the actor. He has reminded me of Snape and he is beginning to resemble him more and more. Extremely capable and committed to his cause. He takes every insult and censure with calm and stays focussed. Snape protected Harry inspite of being hated by Harry himself and being misunderstood by all at a great risk to self. So too, Shiva is intent on protecting the Amrit even if misunderstood and this for no personal gain or glory...all for greater good. Yet, these are men who can feel so deeply, more than we can ever imagine. ⭐️

Daadi is just like Jodha Begum before the leap - I am always right...Jalal (Shiva here) is always wrong. Not even a slight attempt to understand the other person's pov. Such blinkered self-important do-gooders. When somebody else does all the background and foundation jobs, we can happily do our do-gooding. What use is all of Daadi's Saraswati Kund and its waters and all the ideals of her Panth if the evil men have the whole lot of Amrit? 😡

Rudr is still confused. He is just out of the protective cocoon of Maimui and so much has happened. So much has been thrust on him so soon. He has to absorb, assimilate and then make decisions. Hope he is able to see the bigger picture and we don't have another leaky tap mahaan.😲

As for Maya, she is becoming the typical filmy heroine, with the lone brownie point of not dropping the plate. 😡

We have Shiva as the head of the garud now and Rudr as the main body and Katherine as the waist. Charles and DM as the wings. We need to find the other two who have the chinna at their legs to make up for the garud's legs. The story is poised most interestingly right now. It can either have a flying trajectory or can be messed up.😳

From many responses I have read here, I see a close connection between Jodha of JA and this Shivanand's mom. May be in her last birth, she was Jodha or Mothi who happened to be near her, learning all this. Or Else she must be from Amer i.e present day Jaipur - Otherwise there is no possibility of "I,me and myself" and " my sense of right " being there so much. 😆😃

It is such an irony in life that this kind of mothers get those kind of sons who worship them !!! I wonder what it is at times. Good karma, may be. Or the sons may not want any panga, not more than what they are going through. 😆

Thanks a lot for your concern, my dear Sri. Fingers crossed, tight enough to qualify for a pretzel contest, that my knee replacement goes well come May. And I am profoundly grateful to the Almighty that this problem did not come up a decade earlier. A limping Ambassador would not have been an appealing sight!😉 But now I feel that those years were when this was building up.

Obstinate old ladies, yes, A mother who looks at her son as if he is something the cat brought it, and fixes him with a basilisk glare when he enquires after his son's friends, is something else again. And her son still touches her feet twice in 2 minutes!

Shri...U really do love Begumsa a lot 😉😆

There are definite parallels between Daadi and Jodha...most important being - Daadi's unreasonable behaviour is reserved only for her son Shiva, just as Jodha's unreasonable behaviour is mostly reserved for Jalal 😛

The worst part is that these two self-sufficient ladies cloak their unreasonable behavior and short sightedness with such idealistic high sounding words.😡

Sorry for not responding earlier...but did read it late Sunday nite. It is indeed a strange triangle...very interesting relationship between Mother n son and a Rudra caught in between...guess they have argued their points of views 24 years earlier and realized that they stand on opposite sides...will be interesting to see if Daadi will come around eventually or hold her ground forever...

Really like Shivanand...he goes about his business with a single mindedness and calmly n respectfully deals with his Mom... No arguing or convincing...

Enjoying all th exists and turns...and if I understood correctly on Mon, either TM or Kat is a Garud, not both as Shiva could only see 3 in the tent...did not expect Kat to be evil...Phnwell will wait for your analysis next Sunday...

@Arshics Raja Harischandra only partially suits Shiva. I mean Raja was about ideals, actually Dadaji suits person like Harischandra more. Give some vachan and then think only about that than anything else. As Vachan will decide how people will view them. It is more like how others will view you.
But Shiva is more self driven. He has scant regard of what others think about him. He is more about the impending danger. People as such doesn't mean much to him other than a means to reach that goal. Actually he is more like Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose whose only aim was freedom to India doesn't matter what happened to them or their near or dear ones. But India has to be liberated. They never worried about what society thought about them.
Shymaladi I agree to your quote on Matrabhakthi. Especially in Indian serials. I have seen the far fetched version of it in DABH which forced me to quit that serial once and for all though I had loved it for close to 2 years. I am only expecting something like Satyavati felt in MB. A realization where she feels the control is lost and she has been responsible for the same. No one is gonna tell her that.
