SRJ and Pooja are both brilliant actors. Their portrayal of Krishna and Draupadi in Mahabharat made us feel like the roles were tailor made for them. Taking up the roles of Shiv Parvati must have been quite a challenging decision for both of them as the characters are entirely different from the ones they had done before.

Coming to the chemistry I think the script is a main problem. Mahabharat was immensely popular and some of the best scenes were the Krishna Draupadi scenes. They were perfect as Sakha Sakhi and struck a chord with people. Krishna Draupadi had a friend- advisor relationship but Shiv Gauri are the ideal husband and wife. So the actors need to develop a different kind of chemistry. This definitely takes time. Both the actors and audience need time to accept them as Shiv Parvati or Shiv Sati. The show started at a point where Shiva is acting as a guide to Parvati in realizing her true potential. This only increases the Krishna Draupadi vibes. I know the story is about Kali but I think the makers should have portrayed the relationship between Shiv Parvati better. How Parvati fell in love with him, her devotion to him, his love for her etc. This would have helped in buliding a better chemistry.

for me...i am still warming up with SRJ being Lord Shiva...i am not so into mytho...whatever mytho i know its through my grandfather...at the same i have my own believes...as there are so many versions in mytho that i lost trust in it...i just look at it as fantasy tales and interesting stuff...though i believe in god...lord shiva-parvati-durga being my family deity...

whatever written in scriptures abt lord shiva...vishnu...

krishna...adi shakti...MB...shiv puran...devi puran...all have different versions...this makes the makers takes advantage of mytho and dramatised it by distorting mytho...even the successful DKDM had been distorted too...

mytho on TV can never be exactly the same as scriptures n tales...somewhere down they will dramatised n distort mytho for trps...what is written in scriptures is straight forward n pure...what will be shown is opposite of it just to please trps...this is why mytho can never happen according to scriptures...they only highlight the main point...

coming to SRJ...he did a phenomenal job as krishna n vishnu...as shiva i am still warming up to him...as mohit has set a benchmark as lord shiva in DKDM...i am having difficulty in accepting anyone else other than mohit as lord shiva...but than past is past...so i am still giving a chance to SRJ...he is a good actor...the problem in him...he is bringing krishna n vishnu characteristic in shiva...he needs to change that...which i am sure he will once he understand lord shiva...he is trying to know lord shiva...i love his calm n composed style of portraying shiva...coming to his look...i am glad he has beard...otherwise i will only relate him as krishna n vishnu...the makers knows it thus they give him the bearded look...its a fact too certain point time shiva did had beard too...i am happy with his look...that makes him different from krishna n vishnu...shiva has many forms...lets see how SRJ does...he is doing a good job

pooja is phenomenal...i have no comments...she is doing a fantastic job...many could not connect with her way of portraying parvati...but i can...currently she in such a state of damsel in distress is becos she is not aware of the energy in herself...out of sudden a ferocious energy came out from her...she killed everyone and step on the heart of the lord she worship..devote n love...she is being confused and is not understanding the changed of situation...what is the energy in her...its her self-discovery...as much she was good as draupadi...she is equally good as sati...parvati...kaali

PooRabh has great chemistry...but the sakha-sakhi vibes has to go...that can only happen if they show a romantic vibe in shiv-parvati story...i am not expecting it in shiv-sati as much as i would loved it...as it was one of the most beautiful love story...the makers has lost a golden chance...if they went in details...the chemistry would have easily build...but they missed it by rushing up...they better show proper shiv-parvati story to make us connect with shiv-parvati...i am still trying to connect with shiv-parvati...DKDM had a proper execution in shiv-sati n shiv-parvati story...mohit-mouni-sonarika lived the souls of their character n made us connect with both love stories beautifully...

someone was talking abt shiv-parvati hug...i guess its not easy to portray a proper hug in mytho just due to their costumes...

Just like many, I had my own questions on how Saurabh Raj Jain will be as Lord Shiva, and whether I will be able to see him as Lord Shiva, after seeing him as Lord Vishnu in DKDM and Lord Krishna in Mahabharata.
And I was surprised. At the beginning, seeing SRJ as Lord Shiva was very different, and quite difficult, as I always expected to see him in Pitambar 😆 But when I did look past that, I was very happy. He has portrayed Mahadeva in a beautiful way, his emotions are spot on. The love Shiva has for Shivaa, the hurt in separation, the surprise in knowing Sati... I agree that so many things are distorted, but I think that SRJ is doing the role of Shiva justice.

One of my favourite scenes is when Mahakaali stood on Lord Shiva's chest. His eyes portrayed only full love for her, which is what got her to calm down. Simply staring at her would not have done the trick. The absolute love and trust caused Gauri to come back.

I agree dear He is way beyond perfection as Lord Shiva. I loved him very much, and he is getting better with each epi, his eyes speak volumes, I too think he is doing full justice to the role of Shiva.

I know. That line is my soul starter.

Being a non dancer he prepared tandav just before the final shoots he did only a few rehearsals because nothing was prefixed and everything was decided in a hurry. Still he is pouring in all his efforts ..and getting better with each episode, I really look upto his portrayal of Shiva

The only thing I feel is the show sometime rushes...the editing got better after episode 2...and 5th 6th epi were outstanding ..SRJ's acting is amazing in sati katha track

I understand what u have said. Fault is not of srj or Puja, actually we viewers are too much into the characters of Mahabharata or the chemistry of the characters there and even in dkdm, that we could not get out of it still. And I think little more time needed for that. MB and dkdm both were tip class series, its difficult to wipe off the memory of it.

But I know Mk have potential to do it.

He is awesome as Shiva in sari Katha track, its the best mahadev part in Mk. And I just love unmatha bhairabh. Damn. I loved the shiv shiv shiv shiv.. And the way he fight and his eye close ups. And I m now waiting for bheerbhadra.

sourabh is a brilliant actor and it is a different kind of role for him that is quite challenging too, but whatever he is doing in getting into skin of the character is commendable and appreciative, because it's not easy to perform a particular character within few time, he got very few time to prepare the whole things including tandav facial expression dialogue delivery and what not, I don't know about direction and script but whatever he is doing, he is doing his best and we all know that he is talented guy and have been seen performing various genres on screen too, this would be early to comment on anything coz nothing starts with perfection, it takes time, it's our habit to see him portraying krishna nd vishnu so this is why we are comparing current things with previous ones...

in my opinion he is doing a great job and can see him doing better passing of each day... I am just loving him as mahadev 😳

@rishrabh...exactly though MB-DKDM has ended but still the magic n connection still fresh in our minds...such is the execution of the show...how can one forget sakha-sakhi relationship n Cheerharan scene of Draupadi...how can one forget the beautiful eternal love story of shiv-sati n shiv-parvati in different era in DKDM...same yet contrast and of course the brilliant portrayal of Shiv by MR...its very difficult to forget...even to think abt all this moments in MB n DKDM gives us goosebumps...

MK has equal potential...we need to give them some time to get into their characters...its still new...they are trying to break the image of vishnu...krishna...draupadi n trying to undestand shiv-parvati...shiv-sati

what i really dislike was the rush...why they are rushing tracks...mytho shows is ruined if tracks are rushed...it should be shown in proper details...they rush the shiv-sati track when they can show something as beautiful as shiv-sati story in DKDM...a slow gradual process of shiv-sati story to build their chemistry n connection as shiv-sati n shiv-parvati...they have a great chemistry n its not utilised properly due to rush of tracks...this could have been the golden chance to break the sakha-sakhi vibes n connects them as shiv-sati...but they loose it...shiv-sati love story was universe first love story...it had a tragic end but it was so pure...divine n passionate...the makers could have gone slow on it...

whatever was shown i liked it becos i can never dislike shiv-sati story...but i could not connect with it like i did in DKDM becos the track was rushed...DKDM shiv-sati story was eternal...it was the connection for me than i began to love mohit-mouni in terms of chemistry and the same feelings for mohit-sonarika as shiv-parvati...when it comes to mytho we need to connect with the mythological characters they play otherwise we can never love the chemistry...the makers of MK needs to go slow rather than rush the tracks...if you rush the tracks...audience can never build a connection

currently my only connection in MK is pooja as parvati/sati/kali...she is phenomenal...SRJ needs to break vishnu-krishna vibes...we need to give him some time...but SRJ is doing great...
