Some actors get cast in a role that is so so right for them and they do so much justice to it, that it becomes them. SRJ as Narayan/Krishna, was one such. It will take a lot for anyone else to top his portrayal. Before SRJ's portrayal the only actor who was always talked about in this role was the actor from the old Mahabharat (which was years and years and years ago).
After this iconic portrayal, he has taken on the role of Mahadev. A very difficult shift.
SRJ is coming into the character since the last couple of episodes. The Tripura Sundari episode, his expressions were spot on. And I felt he was getting into the character.
Of course, nothing like his portrayal of Narayan; but the very fact that he is able to move into Shiva, which is a totally different aspect of Godhead, is worth👏.
I have never seen any other roles of SRJ, so basing on only these two roles, I feel that he is a good actor, and as the show moves on I am hoping that his portrayal will be moving higher and higher...
One thing that needs to be noted is that in DKDM as Narayan and in Mahakali as Mahadev, both are not the main roles. Neither show revolved around SRJ's character - and yet we cannot talk about DKDM without mentioning SRJ and also now Mahakali !!! What does that say about the actor?
