Duryodhan never disrespected any of the elders. While he decided to commit suicide by forgoing food and water (after Gandharva Gowsha Yatra humiliation), he actually asks Dusshashan to take over the position of the king, to remember being always respectful to elders so that they might love him, to make sure that his brothers always get all happiness so that they never feel shy to ever approach him, to always keep state ahead of himself, to not let lethargy come in way for the timely pensions to the priests etc. It was his stupid hatred for Pandavas that made him irredeemable.

However Vikarna thing I really don't understand, since childhood, Yuyutsu knew all about their plans and passed them over to Pandavas, so how come Vikarna never got to know it? It seems very difficult for me believe that they confided Yuyutsu but not Vikarna. Yet Vikarna never revealed the plan to Pandavas, so he was willing in Pandavas death as well

Sometimes I feel could it be that Vikarna supporting Draupadi's claim was their reverse psychology tactics so that Kuru elders say that no Draupadi is actually a slave? Because DuryDushy didn't say him a word on supporting Draupadi's claim despite they being his elder brother, it was only Karna who scolded him and asked him to sit down

If I m right yuyutsu was step brother of kauravs dasi putra.

Vikarn ke baare main sirf itna janti hu ki he spoke in dice hall & bheem cried after. Killing him

Yes he was a half brother. Bachpan me whenever Chandal Chaukdi made some plans against Pandavas, he gave the info to Pandavas.

I meant to say that if Yuyutsu knew the plans surely Vikarna would also know, so why didn't he tell the Pandavas if he was so good

Well that's the basic difference of dharm may be. For Yuyutsu, siding with Dharm in Pandavas was his Dharm while for Vikarn, following his own brother was his Dharm. Like in Ramayana, Vibhishan left his brother and sided with Shri Ram but Kumbhkaran fought and died for his brother.

If following his brother was Dharma for VIkarna, then why did speak against him in a royal gathering. In Fact here even Yuyutsu didn't speak a word in Draupadi's favour

Kumbhkaran didn't do that. He always tried to reason out with Ravana in closed chambers not in public
