I meant to say Arjuna was just a means to win Draupadi in the Swaymbar. Indeed he has a part to play in the epic.

He always let down & staked draupadi in d name of dharma but she freed him first in d name of dharma.

Yudi actually never understood d meaning of dharma.

He was someone who was jealous of all his brothers specially arjun .

I read somewhere even Kunti called him coward 🤣& ask arjun & nakul 2 follow draupadi as bheem acts according 2 his heart & brain ,Sahdev already had his brain in right position.

Heroes are those who are central to the epic.

The epic is about Yudhishtir's journey, his losses his wins and his final attainment towards selflessness.

Whether or not he was good/performer or heroic isn't the question, it's just that he was the central character.

The hero need not be the one with heroine/Bollywoodish. Merchant of Venice had Antonio as the hero, although he was as pessimistic as Yudhishtir and had no girl.

Pandavas well being largely depended on Arjun no doubt, but it revolved around Yudhishtir and his decisions. He was throughout the central figure despite being not so capable and having committed attrocitious acts

It's like the king in a game of chess. It doesn't do much, but the entire existence of others depends on it's safety.

Actually existence of pandavas depended on bheem too. Not only arjuna. I would say more on bheem than Arjuna
