Kunti - Like or Dislike

Hola everyone! Lately there has been too much of talks about Kunti and her mistake about asking Karna to join Pandavs side. But why is her character bashed so much for this? A mother can do this for desperation and not selfishness. Even if Kunti was scared of Arjun's protection (She was not. But if we see it like that), then a mother has full right to be scared for her son. So, she was asking Karna to come to their side and this could also avoid the war like this. Karna was the main power against Arjun. There are so many good sides to it. Secondly, why is her motherhood insulted? Just because she abandoned Karna, that does not mean she was not a good mother.. She managed to see Nakul and Sahdev , who were Madri's sons as her own. She brought up her sons alone. She bravely let her sons face their arrogant and selfish cousins! Kunti knew in HP it's not safe for her sons. But still she let them come there. It was their place. Then why is she called a bad mother? It was known that Karna could be harmed by this war, and rage against Arjun, His pran etc. so, would not asking Karna to come to their side also help Karna?
And I also feel what Karna is, is greatly because of Kunti. She abandoned him, let him face difficulties, obstacles, which made is remember Karna as the ultimate tragic hero. So we should all thank Kunti. If she would accept him, he would be a Kshatriya king, eldest, and maybe he would have to face the society as an illegal king. I think that would be terribly sad.

PS- Abandoning Karna was not a mistake. We have had a discussion on it in Medha's thread. So not repeating.

Kunti was great mother...Kunti Scared for only Arjun protection 😲 nope Kunti sab k liye Scared thi including Karn.

I have not voted for any choice. For me one mistake doesnt make a character bad. So Yes though I admit Kunti did a MISTAKE but I still will not think that she was bad .😊

You should have provided ,one mixed feelings option too Brish😆..If i try to weigh my sympathy and hatred for Kunti..on a scale..I hate her a little more than sympathise with her...

never one does nt become bad due to some mistakes we shd see the person as whole & she was good as a whole

I really dont beleive she shld be judged n called names like she is being called based on that one mistake. How old was she then?? 15 16...at that age she did not know d severity of what happnd due to her curiosity. No u cannot argue that girls of 15-16 yrs nowadays know d seriousness of these actions. This is kalyug d dat was dwapar yug...the norms n cultures were way different then. Who knows wat would hav happnd if she would hv accepted him...perhaps he would be ruthlessly killed. Kunti n kuntibhoj eould hv been tortured like hell. What ws kuntibhojs mistake???

Nopes...she raised Madri sons with more love, care n affection than her own sons n that's y it doesn't makes her bad for me...she was a very good mother to her 5 sons at least 😊

Regarding abandoning the baby...yes i agree she herself should have entrusted the baby to foster parents but she was a scared teenager back then n yes all of us cn give many remarks on wat she shld hv done but d fact is she did wat seemed like her saving option...

Regarding accepting karna at rangbhoomi n all dat, i wld say its easier said than done...

Well i cn go on n on but i would conclude on saying that kunti was not a bad woman neithr did she have ill intensions fr karna. She did want him to come back on d righteous path. She was a very nice mother to tbe pandavas n the driving force n making yudi the greatest king of bharata n making bans the greatest warriors of their times...
