no i dont consider kunti was at fault... if we step into her shoes we will not able to accept illegimate child...
and when she told karna the truth of his life... she meant.. that come on side of pandavas... and you will be saved.. she didnt want her children to fight amongst each other... and any one of them to die.. kunti came to ask for her children's life... that included karna also... but karna said.. that her 5 children will be there always... she have to loose arjuna or him...

Kunti was not at fault when she abandoned Karna, at his birth.
At that time, she was helpless, thanks to our hypocritical society.
However, she was wrong, when she revealed the truth to Karna at such a convenient time...just before the war.
Besides she revealed the truth only to Karna, but didn't tell the Pandavas anything.
Maybe, she did it to prevent all her sons from getting killed, or maybe it was a strategy to weaken Karna's morale to kill the Pandavas.

What I don''t understand is why Kunti couldn't ensure Karna's secure future. I understand why Kunti couldn't keep Karna at the time. But She could have found a way to keep her baby in safe hands. Who knows what would have happened to Karna if Adirath had not picked him up?
Also when Kunti realized Karna was her son. Why didn't she confront him about it? Maybe not announce it but keep it between her and Karna? At the least she could have tried to atleast guide him.

Telling truth to Karn was simply the strategy of Lord Krishna.
If Karn accepted Pandavas as his brothers then Pandavas were to become strong but if he didnt (which actually happened ) then the truth would break him emotionally & he would not be able to give his 100% in the war.

Shri Krishna never told the Pandavas that Karn was their brother as that could have weajen the Pandavas & they could've backed out for their eldest brother.

Kunti was fault like many other characters were at some point so there is absolutely no need to justify her mistakes or even exaggerate it. But yes her mistakes became one of the reason for her own son's death.

- Kunti had no choice in teenage when she abandoned child- really ? She could have given it to someone in place - her aide..rather than risking life of lil child .. People say she gave it for adoption..I say come on even if people leave infants on roadside..would you say samething then? - Okay her above mistake is still pardonable..but then when she recognised Karna in rangbhoomi why did she take so long to admit ..why only just before war she decided to go to karna and confess that she is his mother...- No she didnt go for him at all..texts clearly showed she went for sake of her other sons...
- She never told pandavas about karna when Karna was alive .
these are some of her faults in my eyes...I can go on further too..but i think this kind of sums up

Kunti only mistake is she want to test sage Durvasa boon. She didnt believe in sage Durvasa. One mistake lead to another. She has to abandon her baby due to fear of society.
Well it was Karn destiny and destiny always related to past karma.

kunti was at fault for leaving a small child..for not telling karn wen he knew she was there in front of her eyes...telling him the truth so lateee...beside she asked for her sons life .why didnt she just asked him to come to pandavas camp...
beside it was too late for karn to leave duryodhan side...I will agree on whatever karn said yesterday..how can he just assume his enemies to be his bros n his frnd to be his enemy? how can he kill all of them wen he knew they were his younger bros..n alas kunti didnt proved to be any help...
so yea kunti was at fault...alot...she could have stopped all this hatred between karn n pandavas...she could have guided him but by telling truth at such a point, she just wavered his strength to fyt pandavas...

Kunti made Karna weak by revealing the truth at very wrong time. She could have revealed the truth any time before which could have made Karna to think and decide about the war. His hatred for Arjuna would have subsided by the war time and he could have survived.

Always remember that even 5 Pandavs were not capable enough of killing Karna. In the previous version of Mahabharat "Shri Krshna" it was shown that Nakul and Sahadev fights with Karna in the war and karna defeats them. But he spared them because of the promise he made to Kunti.

agreed..even karn got many chances to kill arjun in war but it was kKrishna who saved him,by simply downing the chariot, even without his kavach,he was a warrior of superior level to all pandavas included...there is a subtext to I think Krishna told about karn to arjun I think😳
yea

Krishna warned Arjuna calling Karna
to be the foremost of the heroes. [7]
"
Hear in brief, O son of Pandu! I
regard the mighty car-warrior Karna
as thy equal, or perhaps, thy
superior! . In energy he is equal to
Agni. As regards speed, he is equal
to the impetuosity of the wind. In
wrath, he resembles the Destroyer
himself. Endued with might, he
resembles a lion in the formation of
his body. He is eight ratnis in
stature. His arms are large. His
chest is broad. He is invincible. He
is sensitive. He is a hero. He is,
again, the foremost of heroes. He is
exceedingly handsome. Possessed
of every accomplishment of a
warrior, he is a dispeller of the fears
of friends. No one, not even the
gods with Vasava at their head, can
slay the son of Radha, save thee, as
I think. No one possessed of flesh
and blood, not even the gods
fighting with great care, not all the
warriors (of the three worlds)
fighting together can vanquish that
car-warrior.
