Vrish, at least the precap suggests that Bhima is going to derive SOME pleasure tomorrow!! 😃

At least with regards to Dury, Bhima seems to be using newer kinds of nomenclature with each encounter - napunsak, naali ka keeda, phal ka keeda, kaddu (I may have forgotten some other names)...
What seems to be next? 😛

Lols..😆😆..they don't want to be so different or rather indifferent to the actual happenings, ki unhe janata se chappal khane to mile..🤣

At least the precap suggests that we will finally get to see Bhim doing something worthwhile instead of crying like a kiddo!! Some action involved with the bashing & smashing of 99 Kauravs..n Dury's look will be to watch out for...we got a glimpse in the precap!
I know the Karna-Arjun face off today was again Filmy with arrows of words being hit at each other..but it still made for some good viewing! Especially Shaheer n Aham, who did a Fab job with the scene!!

Anyone else felt like Guru Drona was in the Bollywood avatar too? As he cursed at his son today..

Waise..why does everyone need some cursing & sharing of a piece of the other's mind n some insult before deciding to attack n fight the war? First, Dury enticed Bhishm to war n destruction, n now it was Drona's turn to lift hands n say "Fine..i will be there in the battlefield n fight"..Lols!!

How can 2 arrows heads meet in the air the way they show it?! Both your and pirateKings's posts now make some sense on what roles the archers might have played in war.

Sorry for replying late. I have watched some documentaries on ancient warfare. They have always fascinated me. And whatever I have learnt I can say the way Indian epics and their adaptions depict warfare is absolutely wrong. Individual chariot warriors never fought any direct combats, leave alone arrowheads colliding in air or cutting bowstrings. Chariots were normally used in volley to rain down arrows and spears on enemies while avoiding direct contact. Slightly heavier chariots were used for carrying troops, weapons and replenishment or for carrying kings, generals and noblemen; yet none of them were as ridiculously shaped or decorated as we get to see on TV.

Here's a documentary on ancient Egyptian warfare. The first part is on swords, scimitars and axes, from 22:08 its archery and from 29:40 its chariot warfare.

I just hope someday someone will do actual research and depict a realistic war.

Keeda means worms, but what does kaddu mean? And nali?

Anyone remembers how many Dhartarashtras Bhima killed up to day 10? I thought Watcher mentioned it either in this or the Kurukshetra thread

Oh, you answered it? Maybe pumpkin doesn't mean what it does here, where a father calls his little girl pumpkin. Maybe it meant someone totally incapable of moving, just like pumpkins are. In other words, something similar to a napunsak 😆

Keeda = Worm (or insect in general)
Kaddu = Pumpkin
Naali = Gutter or sewer - so, "naali ka keeda" would be "sewer insect" ❓
Phal = Fruit - so, "phal ka keeda" would be a "fruit insect". Or better, "fruit fly"

Out of these, I can imagine Bhima crushing keedas (be it from the naali or phal).

But, I guess kaddus would need to be smashed (just like how Dury's thigh got smashed) 😈

So Bhima would crush them like he stamps on worms, and break the pumpkin like is done here on Halloween?
Only that Bhima wouldn't do any carving on Duryodhan's thighs, since both Yudhistir & Krishna objected to him trying to stand on Dury's face 😆
