Ha ha...that would be fun too. Poor Arjun gets all the barbs and of course the best eye locks from her😳

Because she was furious at him for neglecting her and her reasoning for thinking so being she adds that Brihannala is passing her days so nicely enjoying her time, not caring about Draupadi's pain.

Like he is Brihannala, and it is supposed to be a casual convo. between the dancer and the hairstyler but it is not. I guess you can call it passive-aggressiveness, he kind of bites back at her.
To the people who think of them as malini and brihannala having a teasing casual conversation.
But as we know that it is hubby-wifey, you can see it as a passive-aggresive arguement between them.

Can you post a citation on this convo? I'd love to read it

Thanks Sabhyata. I've a feeling he did know but didn't acknowledge it as it would create a rift between the brothers. Unlike Bheem, Arjun was more perceptive about other's feelings.

As I lie on a rock, gasping for my last breath, I can see bhrata Bheem and Jyesth way ahead on the mountain. Nakul and Sahdev lie peacefully below me. As I shut my eyes to say my final prayers, I see two hazy smiles, dressed in pure white, inviting me to join them in a celestial garden. They don't have to say a word. I know who they are. Panchali and Madhav- they've always known me better than I ever knew myself. I raise my arms as an inexplicable strength carries me until I'm on my feet again, holding hands with Panchali and Madhav. A sense of tranquility and peace descends on me as the three of us walk into the garden for the last time...

Beautifully conceived and worded.👏It kind of resonates those silent emotions of his soulmate, who, though equally committed to her five husbands, was rather vocal for once about her innermost contours. As described by Vyas in the following passage. (Also posted in other thread);

After Arjun's departure from Kamyaka Forest...
"...The princess of Panchala in particular, remembering her third lord, addressed the anxious Yudhishthira and said, 'That Arjuna who with two hands rivals the thousand-armed Arjuna (of old), alas, without that foremost of the sons of Pandu, this forest doth not seem at all beautiful in my eyes. Without him, whenever I cast my eyes, this earth seems to be forlorn. Even this forest with its blossoming trees and so full of wonders, without Arjuna seems not so delightful as before. Without him who is like a mass of blue clouds (in hue), who hath the prowess of an infuriated elephant, and whose eyes are like the leaves of the lotus, this Kamyaka forest doth not seem beautiful to me. Remembering that hero capable of drawing the bow with his left hand, and the twang of whose bow sounds like the roar of thunder, I cannot feel any happiness, O king!'..."

Their silent love and self sacrifice have always evoked an awestruck admiration and respect of multitudes spanning generations that witness this great epic over the centuries. No wonder both were dear to Lord too.
Thanks for OS.

Thanks for the citation. I sincerely believe that the trio- Madhav-Draupadi-Arjun were connected by their souls and that's why they all first met at the swaymvar also (not in SP version though) I think even Ved Vyas gave subtle hints. 1. Her reaction his marriage with subhadra 2. Her reaction when Arjun leaves them all for Shiv tapasya- how sad she was and badly she missed him 3. Of course Yudi's statement on their last journey

Agreed!

That is why it was upsetting at first that they introduced Krishna so early ...
Because this scholar had pointed out that the three of them meeting at the Swayamvara is a symbolism that Vyasa shows so beautifully because the Swayamvara hall itself symbolises a promise of eternity together lived with love and devotion in the good times, loyalty and support in the bad times for the right people -- How very trues is that for the Three Krishnas?

Yay...I'm glad someone else thought the same way.

BTW, can you post a citation on Brihannala-Malini argument in Virat? I would love to read that. I just found a small part in "Yajnaseni' but don't know if KMG has more
