Yes, indeed Parth's biggest mistake was not his pride, but the objectification of his wife...A woman who loved himr the most, n got humiliated the most, in return for keeping the unity between the Pandavas intact...

For us kaliyugis that's definitely an insult. I always wonder how Draupadi reacted to that statement in dwaparyug

I would like to say this today, Bheegi.

Irrespective of what others say, I really believe that Draupadi loved Arjun only.

It is my belief, n I am not claiming anything. I was not there, at 3000 B.C. So, I cannot claim anything or say anything for sure. However, this is how I feel, n this is what I believe with all my heart.

I don't say this in the other threads, coz then people will start debating n arguing.

But being a woman, all I can say is, it is NOT possible for ANY WOMAN, to love FIVE men, let alone, equally.

No doubt. I think even Ved Vyas gave subtle hints. 1. Her reaction his marriage with subhadra 2. Her reaction when Arjun leaves them all for Shiv tapasya- how sad she was and badly she missed him 3. Of course Yudi's statement on their last journey

I know that many people say that, love is infinite, n all. But I believe, that the love between 2 lovers is different from the other forms of love, n this different love cannot be infinite, n shared with multiple people.

She certainly admired, cared n respected all her husbands. She was dutiful to all her husbands. But the thing that we call "love", she had that only for Arjun. It is my belief.

I think Ved Vyas, through Draupadi showed us how a wife plays different roles in her husband's life. With yudi- it was more like a ardhangni (shared responsibility for the household), with Bheem (she was a princess he pampered and pleased), with Arjun (it was the passionate lover) and with twins it was a mother like relationship. In the day and age, one woman has to fulfill all these roles with one man😆

She loved her 4 other husbands. But she was "in love" with Arjun only.

And there is a difference between the two.

Anyway, sorry, if I hurt anyone...But this is what I feel.

N Bheegi, this OS is heart-wrenching.

Please write more on Parth-Panchali.

You are good with words, n are capable of writing great stories.

Please do write more on the forbidden love story of Parth-Panchali.

Ved Vyas did not say much about the depth in their relationship, but these OSs will certainly fill the void.

That's why people still love to write various versions of this epic and one never gets tired of reading them
