It was actually a war Shakuni played with his specialised, mastered pasa-stra,
It didn't look like a dice game. It was a war faught in the Rajya sabha between Pandavas & Kauravas with Shakuni as their senapati. A well prepared army of 4, attacked Pandavas, who were caught unaware.
In a war one side looses, other side wins. It was like highly specialised astra brutally finished normal arrows, Sword.

Completely agree...👍🏼
In today's epi, it looked like even the "staking of bros" was completely planned by Duri (alongwith the VH). Vikarna looked only "too happy" to be "staked" when Duri chose him...

If one side gets destroyed, then it is a war only.
Wars are faught at different level, not necessary the one that happens in a battle field is a war. Dury & Co. very easily won this one.

That is y , I guess Yudisthir staked her, coz even if it was not "his year", he WAS socially, her husband.

The One-Year rule was a matter of mutual cooperation betwwen the Pandavas n Draupadi. Otherwise, to the whole world, she was the wife of all 5, all the time.

This angered Duryodhan and he blackmailed his father to organise game of chausar betn him n the pandavas . Yudhishthir on Dhritarashtra's insistence agreed to play . Duryodhan made it a condition that which ever party loses will spent 12 yrs in exile n 1 year in incognito . Since the pandavas lose again they get 12 yrs exile n 1 yr incognito making it 13 yrs...

Oh! so,this was the case. Anyway,I'm not surprised at Dhritrashtra being manipulated by Duryodhan since he's been doing it everytime to get his illegal work done.

Of course,it was a war, a well planned one. When Dury stakes Vikarna not only he was too happy but took it so coolly.Else,he would have made a big issue as to why should he become a slave for Pandavs. So,it was very well pre - planned from the beginning by Dury and Co.

Yudhishthira said,--'I have my city, the country, land, the wealth of all dwelling therein except of the Brahmanas, and all those persons themselves except Brahmanas still remaining to me. With this wealth, O king, I will play with thee.'

Vaisampayana said,--"Hearing this, Sakuni, ready with the dice, adopting foul means, said unto Yudhishthira, 'Lo! I have won.'

"Yudhishthira said,--These princes here, O king, who look resplendent in their ornaments and their ear-rings and Nishkas and all the royal ornaments on their persons are now my wealth. With this wealth, O king, I play with thee.

Vaisampayana said,--"Hearing this, Sakuni, ready with his dice, adopting foul means, said unto Yudhishthira, 'Lo! I have won them.'

"Yudhishthira said,--'This Nakula here, of mighty arms and leonine neck, of red eyes and endued with youth, is now my one stake. Know that he is my wealth.'

I dont understand why this entire part has been skipped and straight away gone to staking of brother's.Yudi did stake his kingdom and that is how kauravas won Indraprastha because yudi had staked it himself

@sabhya I have edited a lot out of my post because I cannot type the entire chapter; but i did not know this is the angle it would ne taken to so in summary before nakul is staked vidura tells dri to stop dury then dury shouts at vidur to leave hastinapur and then This dialogue comes
Shakuni mocked the pandav "you have nothing left to stake" and then there is more pressure until Yudi stakes Nakul

And the same author goes on and on about Yudi's goodness and why the Avatar is on his side so I for one am not doubting Yudi's goodness
