well speaking of StarKarna only he feels bad for pandavas during lakshagarah, feels bad for them and kunti when they are being separated, feels bad that kunti isnt being allowed to visit her sons even gives up his crown for it and takes messages to pandavas from kunti and doesn't even feel bad when his friend calls him sutputra so i am sure he wouldn't have felt bad when Draupadi called him the same

to summarize till not StarKrana doesn't carry any kind of bitterness or hatred towards Pandavs or Drauapdi competition is there but not any hatred in fact StarKaran feels for pandavas especially kunti

i highly doubt this StarKrana will start hating pandvas or drau just because they have taken his weapons specially Draupadi who is daughter in law of kunti whom he really like's and thinks of her as a mother remember when he said to dushy yeh Mata ka aadesh hai.

Anything can happen in StarBharat but if StarKarna will participate actively and willingly in Draupadi's humiliation because of shastarharan it will be highly out of character for StarKarna.I am sure he will be emotionally blackmailed by mamshree.CV's dont like to show flaws in characters until unless they are complete villains so i dont think they will show StarKarna actively and willingly participating in Drau's humliation

Hmm, quite true StarKarna's role in the vastraharan will be grossly reduced and sanitized. But I'm getting the idea that the CVs want to show a reason for StarKarna's and perhaps StarBhishma's silence and a lack of protest from their side during the entire act. Hence the shastraharan. It is a device not to show StarDuryodhan in better light (as in the vastraharan is his way of retaliating against the 'injustice' meted out to him in his eyes during the hogwash shastraharan) but to answer the perennial question of why the majority of the Kuru court chose to witness the incident without any strong condemnation. And it would also explain why StarKarna (inspite of being a Pandava sympathizer) still stuck with StarDuryodhan after the transgression on part of the Kauravas. It is pitiable, because their answer to the above question is through the creation of a fictional incident, so they are still leaving the question unanswered.

Not sure what CVs are planning with Karna here in MB.
Regarding Karna's depiction I understand that the CVs are caught between a rock and a hard place. If the CVs are actually planning to sanitize some of Karna's behavior during the game of Dice, I believe they will not do it, but if they do it would not be too surprising. The 21st Century perception of Karna is way different

One thing I've wondered - during the dice game, why did the Pandavas need to bring Draupadi & Kunti to Hastinapur? Also, why did they all go? Yudisthir alone could have gone, maybe accompanied by just Nakul & Sahadev. Taking Bhima or Arjun w/ him was worthless, since they were not supposed to raise their weapons, it being a game of dice, and they didn't do anything facing the worst provocation.

Hastinapur & Indraprastha were 2 completely different kingdoms by then - sort of like Rama's Ayodhya & Bharat's Gandhara towards the end of his reign. If a king in those times was invited by another king for a game of dice, did he go w/ lock, stock & barrel? Yudisthir would have done well to go alone, accompanied by Nakul, Sahadev and a small security escort to Hastinapur, leaving Bhima in charge of Indraprastha, Kunti, Draupadi, the other Pandavas and their wives & kids.

You know, Yudhishtira should have never accepted to go there for the game. But the Kauravas knew his just nature and targeted him. Really, for the sake of dharma he went and lost everything. But after they regained all their belongings, and were returning, the most foolish thing Yudi did was to again accept the invitation. So whatever useless reason he gave of dharma and you shouldn't insult them etc is absolute horse manure. So there.

One thing that I find grating - why does everybody make the assumption that all women are automatically pro-dharam - be it Gandhari, Duhsala, Vrushali, et al? How would Draupadi's getting her revenge be in any of their interests? If as a result of the war, they lost their hubbies and/or sons, how would it make anything better for them if Draupadi is vindicated?

Just like the Pandavas were insulted by what Dushashan & Karna did to Draupadi and killed them in war to bring her justice, why does one assume that Gandhari, Vrushali et al would be pro-Draupadi? For their sentiments to be served, Vrushali would have to be widowed, and Gandhari childless. How many women of that era were really that mahaan that they'd make that sacrifice? And even if they did it for sons (which Gandhari didn't), why would they do it for their husbands, who they worshipped?

actually accepting the second invitation i can kind of understand since they had lost everything all their lands and belongings and Dhrit just returned to them they didn't win it back so it was more like a donation.May be yudi wanted to win it back in a respectful manner

You know that's pretty daft. All for "winning" it back. He lost it again. Does that seem like intelligent? Personally, I like this reason: When Yudi learnt that Shakuni would be playing for Duryodhana, did any of the Pandavas even think about Krishna even once? If they had just prayed to Krishna, would any stupid charm of Shakuni work? The very fact that they didn't think about God made them lose everything and gave them 13 years of exile.
So ppl, the lesson learnt is, if u think that u r so great and do not pray to Godm the consequences can be dire.
Conclusion: In your face Yudi!
