oh diala u cant imagine how people feel abt the several stuffs at that time which was common practice then and say that character was womaniser(they use this word for really prominent characters) and many more.so if good characters are going to kill animals or destroy trees they are bad

Hilarious post. Loved it. 👏😆

I myself stopped watching DMDK after Tratika track. They had so many confusing(and boring) arguments and they kinda made Shiva Bholenaath the villain in that track.

I watched the episode for Tratika. 😳😆

If only one could get the original Krishna & Arjun & put them in front of the likes of PETA, Greenpeace, WWF and all the other environmental wacko groups 😈

In that era, the human population being as small as it was (despite Vyasa's loose talks of 'crores' & 'lakhs' of warriors dying), such environmental impact would have been similar to emptying a can of paint into the Bay of Bengal.

if you consider the reason for Mahabharata being reducing the burden of Mother earth, the stats of Vyas are believable..

I have read descriptions of how big the palaces of every member of Krishna's family was. If one adds up the numbers, and then considers the area of today's Dwarka, one would find that a stretch. I'll try and pull up the numbers sometime from DBSK, where we had discussed it a bit.

It's completely hogwash, especially Yudhisthir's comment. So what, the CVs are not better judges of the environment than Lord Krishna himself? 🤪 It was downright dumb showing Yudhisthir make such a comment when in the original epic, that is exactly what Krishna had ordered Arjuna to do.

agree with u.but I just wanted to comment that there are many people whom I have come across take this serial seriously and judge people by today standard. n making them understand wrt to that time is lime bumping ur head on wall.I have tried but failed miserably. so atleast for them I think cvs are doing a good job.

OMG, such people annoy the heck out of me! 🥱 It's better not to argue with them because they're the so-called "rationalists" of today who are intelligent enough to judge God and his deeds. Like you said, this show is perfect for people like them.

The Dwaraka that resurfaced to Earth is not the whole land. I heard that a great stretch of that land is still under sea, so the stats are pretty blievable. I think that's another reason Krishna had the Pandavas wipe out many creatures and people through the Khandavaprastha burning and the Kurukshetra war. The land and its people were becoming too heavy even for Mother Earth.

Even if a good bit is sunken, the numbers still look too fantastic for the descriptions either in MB or in SB

Shrishti, I doubt that the people who would require Krishna to be an environmental wacko watch any mytho serial in the first place.

nice exercise.. 😆.. My book does support the population numbers of Vyas.. btw which is the 'India' that you consider for this exercise?

another funny thing to notice is in starbharat all snakes killed were maya snakes and all trees were maya trees.. i wish they had put a disky scrolling 'all trees burnt and snakes killed 5000 years ago were computer generated' 😆
