@vrish today many people watch mytho not for historical or learning purpose but rather they prefer tacky and fast lavishing mythological programs.but that's not the problem but when u have debate with these people their judgment and points are based on that serial and 21st century thoughts.

They should have done that. Incidentally, it's funny that they never told us that the flying snakes were CGIs 😆

Why are you talking India - I was just thinking about Dwarka for this exercise. The island in particular - that's what was built for Krishna. Although the Yadavas did control most of the Saurashtra coast - Sudama's home Sudamapuri was today's Porbandar. Prabhasha, where the Yadavas met their end, is on the Saurashtra coast. But for the calculation of the area of Dwarka covered by palaces, I was considering just the current city, and then some area that had since sunk.

We can do separate exercises on the sizes of akshaunis and how many soldiers were killed in a day during the war separately.

CGI thing was part of the dialogue itself so they skipped.. in yesterday's precap Takshak's arrows were also these maya snakes.. arrows from hands 😆

my question.. From Dwaraka population we should try to derive the possible population of India right.. so which is the India we consider..

Oh, I wasn't trying to derive India's population from Dwarka's. I was trying to see what Dwarka's population density (people per sq km) would have had to be to support the description in Vyasa, and how that would compare to either Dwarka's population density today, or that of any major city today.

The war itself took place mainly w/ north Indian kingdoms - several kingdoms on the fringes stayed out of it. Like Kosala (Satya's, not Brihadbala's), Vidarbha, and most other kingdoms in the Deccan.

From SB

SB 10.50.49: After thus discussing the matter with Balarama, the Supreme Personality of Godhead had a fortress twelve yojanas in circumference built within the sea. Inside that fort He had a city built containing all kinds of wonderful things.

SB 10.50.50-53: In the construction of that city could be seen the full scientific knowledge and architectural skill of Visvakarma. There were wide avenues, commercial roads and courtyards laid out on ample plots of land; there were splendid parks, and also gardens stocked with trees and creepers from the heavenly planets. The gateway towers were topped with golden turrets touching the sky, and their upper levels were fashioned of crystal quartz. The gold-covered houses were adorned in front with golden pots and on top with jeweled roofs, and their floors were inlaid with precious emeralds. Beside the houses stood treasury buildings, warehouses, and stables for fine horses, all built of silver and brass. Each residence had a watchtower, and also a temple for its household deity. Filled with citizens of all four social orders, the city was especially beautified by the palaces of Sri Krishna, the Lord of the Yadus.

So how much was 12 Yojanas? We can get the area of Dwarka from that, and calculate the population
