Criticise Karna all you want, he did some mistakes in his life but people claiming one translation to be the utmost truth is wrong there are many reliable translations which differ even, there are reliable and famous authors in Hindi and bengali who have translated MB very accurately just like KMG.

Perhaps Varaali should remove the non AT thing, then it will just be another topic, only more respectful than many and many of threads making mockery of other characters and destroying every aspect of it.

Wonderful thread Varaali didi 👏 we definitely need to think neutrally, rejecting personal emotions, as a Mahabharat character is not too easy to understand 😊 so we must discuss all positive & negative points simultaneously.

Three points to add:

1) Karna was one of the main culprits behind Draupadi vastraharan!! I always keep him even before Dushshashan for this unforgivable crime, Dushshashan was just like some common people who are used by bigger criminals for committing any kind of disaster, but the big fishes remaining behind were obviously Duryodhan, Karna & Shakuni. But I found that Kaliyug people still love this man (they hate Yudhishthir for staking Draupadi but love Karna who insulted her 😕); they say that Draupadi was responsible for that as she insulted Karna in her swayamvar! So they are indirectly saying that, if any girl does not want to marry a boy then it will be the right of that boy to torture her later in helpless condition 😲 😭

2) his daanveer tag 😊 he became daata Karna just a few years before his death (he started that after Duryodhan's Vaishnav Yajna, that means around 1 year & 8 months before the ending of Pandav exile, so that time is not very long), moreover, he could not express his daanveerta towards Pandavas when the poor fellow begged only 5 small pieces of land sacrificing own right & forgiving all unforgivable sins! He did not donate Arjun's life to his own mother when she was begging for that.

3) He insulted respectable persons like Bheeshma & Drona many times with bad languages. You will find a whole parvadhyaya in Udyoga parva which is full of his quarrel with Bheeshma. He always insisted Duryodhan to commit cruel activities, like in Ghosh Yatra parvadhyaya. Above all, who was he to take crucial decisions regarding the family problem of Kuru dynasty? Did he pray & think for Kuruvangsha's welfare like pitamaha Bheeshma? Then how could he always insult him? & also, being the ruler of a small kingdom Anga, he could not advise the political leaders of Hastinapur about do's & donot's, say regarding the timing of aggyatavaas, but he took the main role in that case. When the priest of Drupad was sent as messenger, mainly Karna replied to him!!! Yes he was always insulted as 'sutaputra' but what about those insults done by him?

@Varali 1st you took us wrong . we don't merely sympathize KARNA we RESPECT him .. well the RESPECT is as much as one can call it WORSHIP

Now coming to your post

1st u r right though Karna's mother floated KARNA in heavy current of GANGA closing the open side with WAX😕 .. he got a loving family. Along with that he got "Sutaputra" tag. He loved his mother n father by his heart. then why dreaming to be an archer!! He should stay in his limit that society made for him .. being a charioteer .. serving upper caste people .. then he would have called a good boy.. Ekdam sahi kaha aapne

2nd, in his young age he went to Drona though many version say Drona rejected him for sake of argument I am agreeing with you. [but then y Vyasa didn't mention karna learned from Drona clearly instead he wrote karna fixed his God Sun as his guru!!] Drona only rejected him for Bramhastra.. that means SUTAPUTRA can get basic learning but He CAN'T get HIGHER Education. tabhi to .. Y Karna didn't understand it ??!! He should have been happy with what he got n not ask for more EDUCATION.

In today's world bhi to aisa hota hai na?? Poor talented boys n girls don't get education coz they don't have money. karna didn't get education coz he doesn't have social status .. CASTE i say.. chahe TAlent ho .. bhar bhar ke ho .. but CASTE hona MUST hai .. itni si Baat karna ko samajh nahi aye.. stupid boy. n you lied to Bramhan Guru because you wanted to learn more??!! SERIOUSLY?? veda n puranas say acchai ke liye bole gaye jhoot jhoot nahi hote. Pandavas took disguise of bramhin. Arre murkh they are from high society .. a SUTA can't lie .. Don't u know Higer status ke sau khoon mwaf hote hai lower status ke ek jhoot crime hote hai😲

3. Karna you were such a bad businessman I tell you. Couldn't you make a better deal against that Kavach Kundal. Duh your father told you Do not give your armor to Indra dev .. knowing that you gave it to him.. I know why you wanted to be glorified hai na?? else you are not a philanthropist. naa na. I don't get it.. why karna you didn't ask for anything against your Daan to Indra. It was indra who gave you the Vasav Shakti along with a condition .. WHY??

KARNA you were unfortunate then, you are unfortunate now n you will be the same.. people will bash you Sutaputra .. people will mock you .. you just do tolerate .. don't forget you dared to fight for your right, you dared to go against conventional dharma and supported your friend till your last breath. Iska jawab tumhe yug youg tak dena padhega. no matter how many times you get humiliated if you give it back .. tumhe adharmi banna padhega.. bass some stupid people will write for you .. call you MRITYNJAI, call you RASHMIRATHI .. will gain respect and award but then they only idiots .. society say.

what you wanted Salavation of Veer?? .. did you got it KARNA?/ no you don't.. you still have to fight, fight for your honor .. till eternity you will fight this fight. You are Mrityunjai remember you don't have death KARNA.. you can't die. like sri krishna some more people will say " KARNA is a great soul rarely born in Human race" and you will keep fighting to have your Honor in this society .. our respect is always there for you

urmila, thanks for the info, so the above points supports the theory of karna being the reincarnetion of a raakshash named sahastrakavach who was allmost killed by nar and narayan.

Sweetie Heart.. I DID talk about you and others 😆.. but I dint mean unwanted or uninvited guests.. Oh no.. I have written Non-Admirers and no idea holders and I picked that from all your posts.. and I exactly meant what I wrote...
