I am also confused becuse in promo Draupadi clealry says i wont marry a sutputra does it mean that it hasnt been clarified that if karna wins she will marry Duryodhan not karna.Becuase if she did know that she will marry duryodhan if karna wins there is no basis of saying that statement Duryodhan is not a sutputra.I really fear that the main basis for rejecting karna will be the fact that he is participating on duryodhan's behalf and he would refuse to participate for himslef.Which will completley distort the reason for Karna's bitterness towards Draupadi

I agree with you, showing Karna as just accompanying Duryodhan and not having any plans of actually participating in the swayamvar himself trivializes any grudge that Karna might hold later against Draupadi. Why would he be offended by Draupadi's refusal to marry him if he does not consider himself a kshatriya enough to participate in the swayamvar. Popular opinion attributes Karna's vileness towards Draupadi during her disrobing, as his retaliatiion against this particular insult during her swayamvar. The way they are portraying Karna, he should have no reason to vilify and humiliate her during the dice game and would be totally out of character for him.

It is a pity that they are following the book 'Palace of illusions', amongst all the literature on the Mahabharata to show filler episodes. No wonder they are ending up being cheesy, over-dramatic and ridiculous. And yes thank god they have left out the Karna-Draupadi love angle. OMG! that is bad Shruti.. and that was not her comment.. she was talking abt what is written in palace of illusions and how they modified it here.. anyway lets not discuss this here..
