Screen Awards on Life OK garners 9 million TVTs; top 3 channels - Star Plus, Colors and Zee TV - lose viewership in Week 4 of TAM 2014

Colors and Life OK continued their strong run in Week 4 of TAM 2014. Colors returned to the No. 2 position, while Life OK's viewership shot up because of the Screen Awards. The Screen Awards garnered 9 million TVTs for Life OK on January 25, 2014. However, all the three top Hindi GECs - Star Plus, Colors and Zee TV - witnessed sharp decline in their viewership this week.
According to TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 4 of TAM 2014 (January 19 - January 25) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus continued to lead Hindi GECs followed by Colors, Zee TV, Life OK, SAB TV and Sony.
Star Plus continued to be on top with a big margin despite losing gross viewership by 20 million this week. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 606 million and a relative share of 24.75% (last week 626 million TVT with 25.17% relative share).
Despite losing 18 million TVTs, Colors returned to No. 2 position. The channel's GTVT was at 449 million with a relative share of 18.34% (last week 467 million TVT with 18.78% relative share).
Zee TV slipped to No. 3 after a drop of 30 million TVM in its gross viewership this week. The channel recorded 441 million TVT with a relative share of 18.01% (last week 471 million with 18.94% relative share).
Life OK's viewership shot up with the telecast of Screen Awards and the channel touched its highest ever ratings. At No. 4, Life OK recorded Gross TVT of 375 million against last week's 347 million. The relative share of the channel increased to 15.32% in Week 4 of TAM 2014 against 13.95% in the previous week.
SAB TV fetched 323 million TVT with 13.19% relative share (last week 318 million TVT and 12.79% relative share).
Sony's decline in viewership continued this week as the channel recorded Gross TVT of 254 million. It had a relative share of 10.38% relative share (last week 258million TVTs with 10.37% of relative share).

Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus scaled new heights this week and became the first ever show on television to hit a 13 TVM. The show recorded 13.5 TVM this week (last week 12.6 TVM).
Star Plus' Saathiya jumped one position to No. 2. The show fetched 10.4 TVM (last week 10.7).
Jodha Akbar on Zee TV slipped one position to No. 3 and recorded 9.8 TVM (last week 11 TVM).
SAB's Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma held No. 4 position with an average viewership of 8.8 TVM against last week's 9.2 TVM.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus held No. 5 position with an average viewership of 8.8 TVM (last week 8.7 TVM).
Star Plus' epic series, Mahabharat, was also unmoved at No. 6 position. The show recorded an average TVM of 7.5 TVM (last week 7.8 TVM).
