Its 3.9 only coz just 6tvts were short of being 3.9...tfs :)) the entire week was superb :))

GEC Watch: India's Got Talent on Colors gets grand opening

Weekday shows on Star Plus and Zee TV attract more eyeballs in Week 2 of TAM 2014, while Colors rules the weekend shows

The second week of TAM 2014 witnessed jump in viewership of weekday and weekend shows. While weekday shows on Star Plus and Zee TV attracted more eyeballs this week, Colors ruled the weekend shows. India's Got Talent' had a grand opening with 9.4 TVM. Star Plus' Nach Baliye also grew on the back of the Salman Khan special episode.

According to TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 2 of TAM 2014 (January 5 - January 11) CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus continued to dominate the weekday programming with five of its shows in the top 10. Zee TV held three slots, leaving one each for Colors and SAB TV.

The weekend programming was dominated by Comedy Night with Kapil' on Colors which witnessed further surge in ratings. India's Got Talent was second most watched show in the weekend with 9.4 TVM.

Among new shows, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya' on Zee TV launched well at 4.0 TVM.

Weekday toppers (all data in TVM, 000000's)

Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus stayed at the top of the chart with 12.6 TVM this week (last week 12.8 TVM).

Jodha Akbar on Zee TV grew further and fetched 11 TVM (last week 10.9 TVM).

Star Plus' Saathiya continued to grow this week as well and jumped one position to No. 3. The show fetched 10.7 TVM (last week 10.2).

SAB's Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma slipped to No. 4 position with an average viewership of 9.2 TVM against last week's 10.3 TVM.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus held No. 5 position with an average viewership of 8.7 TVM (last week 8 TVM).

Star Plus' epic series, Mahabharat, jumped one position to No. 6. The show recorded an average TVM of 7.8 TVM (last week 6.8 TVM).

Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke on Zee TV slipped one position to No. 7 recording 7.7 TVM (last week 6.9 TVM).

Pyaar Ka Dard Hai was at No. 8 with 7.3 TVM (last week 6.6 TVM).

Qubool Hai on Zee TV grew one position up at No. 9 with an average viewership of 6.7 TVM (last week 6.1).

Balika Vadhu on Colors dropped to No. 10 position garnering 6.6 TVM (last week 6.6 TVM).

Weekend toppers

Comedy Night with Kapil on Colors started airing twice a week again and grew to 10.4 TVM (last week 9).

Colors' new weekend offering India's Got Talent opened strong at 9.4 TVM as remained the second most watched show during the weekend.

Nach Baliye 6 on Star Plus moved up and fetched 5.3 TVM (last week 3.5 TVM).

Sony's crime series, CID, dropped to 4.5 TVM against last week's 4.7 TVM.

Dance India Dance Season 4 recorded 4.4 TVM (last week 4 TVM).

Life OK's Shapath recorded 3.8 TVM (last week 3.6).

Hatim on Life OK fetched 3.7 TVM (last week 3.8).

Sony's other crime show, Crime Patrol, dropped to 3.4 TVM (last week 3.2 TVM).

Boogie Woogie on Sony recorded 2.7 TVM in its third week (last week 2.5).

Bh Se Bhade on Zee TV fetched 2.2 TVM (last week 1.5 TVM).

Star Plus' crime fiction, Arjun, recorded 1.9 TVM (last week 1.6 TVM).

GEC Watch: Life OK takes convincing lead over SAB TV

Colors adds maximum viewership but remains at No. 3 in Week 3 of TAM 2014

Colors and Life OK were the only two Hindi general entertainment channels to register growth in viewership in Week 3 of TAM 2014. While Life OK took a convincing lead over SAB TV at No. 4, Colors remained at No. 3 despite adding maximum viewership.

According to TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 3 of TAM 2014 (January 12 - January 18) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus continued to lead Hindi GECs followed by Zee TV, Colors, Life OK, SAB TVand Sony.

Star Plus continued as a distant leader among Hindi GECs with a gross viewership of 626 million and a relative share of 25.17% (last week 629 million TVT with 25.03% relative share).

Zee TV lost 17 million in viewership this week but retained the No. 2 position. The channel recorded 471 million TVT with a relative share of 18.94% (last week 488 million with 19.42% relative share).

By adding 10 million TVT, Colors recorded a gross viewership of 467 million. It had a relative share of 18.78% (last week 457 million TVT with 18.19% relative share).

Life OK took a convincing lead over SAB TV at No. 4. The channel recorded Gross TVT of 347 million against last week's 338 million. The relative share was at 13.95% in Week 3 of TAM 2014 against 13.45% in the previous week.

SAB TV lost maximum viewers this week and fetched 318 million TVT with 12.79% relative share (last week 338 million TVT and 13.45% relative share).

Sony's decline in viewership continued as the channel recorded Gross TVT of 258 million. It had a relative share of 10.37% relative share (last week 263 million TVTs with 10.47% of relative share).

MUMBAI: In week three of TAM TV ratings, Zee TV retained the number two position. It seems that magic of Jai Ho superstar Salman Khan has worked wonders for the channel as its popular dance reality show - Dance India Dance 4notched up to garner 6,838 TVTs (4,618) taking the channel's tally to 470,680 GVTs (488,194).

Star Plus continues to lead the chart even after registering a slight drop. The channel registered 625,772 GVTs (629,447). Colors maintained its last week's third position and fetched 466,690 GVTs (456,890). Life OK dislodged Sab from the fourth position pushing it to fifth slot. While Life OK garnered 347,326 GVTs (337,771), Sab recorded 318,311 GVTs (338,233). Sony's viewership declined yet again as it fetched just 257,635 GVTs (263,081). Sahara One continues to be at the bottom of the chart with 35,959 GVTs (37,863).

Coming back to the chart topper Star Plus, its dance reality show Nach Baliye 6 saw a dip and recorded at 4,449 TVTs (5,350). The epic seriesMahabharat also saw a drop in its viewership and garnered 7,538 TVTs (7,794).

While Zee TV continued to be at the second position, most of its properties witnessed a decline in viewership. Aur Pyar Ho Haya scored 3,637 TVTs (4,044), the sitcom Bh Se Bhadescored 1,931 TVTs (2,160), while the dance reality series Dance India Dance 4 scored 3,878 TVTs (4,249) on Sunday. However, the channel aired the Hindi feature film Ramaiya Vastavaiya on 12 January, Saturday that grabbed good eyeballs and garnered 4,011 TVTs.

Colors' newly launched talent reality show - the fifth edition of India's Got Talent hasn't really clicked well. In the second week of its telecast, the show lost viewers and scored 7,857 TVTs (9,380) on Saturday and Sunday. The other two fictional shows that replacedBigg Boss witnessed a rise in the numbers, while Rangrasiya garnered 2,686 TVTs (2,564), Beintehaa reported 2,767 TVTs (2,633). However, comedy worked for the channel. Comedy Nights With Kapil that had Salman Khan as the special guest promoting his upcoming film Jai Ho scored 11,016 TVTs (10,420).

Sony, which occupies the sixth position, has seen a slight rise in all its fiction properties.Main Na Bhoolungi and Ekk Nayi Pehchaan scored 1,095 TVTs (1,054) and 2,094 TVTs (2,087) respectively. However, the dance reality show Boogie Woogie Kids Championshipsaw a drop in its sixth week and garnered 2,381 TVTs (2,733).

In the movie channel genre, Zee Cinema reported 198,135 GVTs (196,560); Star Gold registered 216,328 GVTs (182,903) and Movies OK scored 138,124 (137,410). While &pictures scored 93,317 GVTs (84,280), Zee Anmol earned 74,522 GVTs (86,317) and Max scored 203,203 GVTs (202,083).

so the drop is not much only 0.2.
hoping it would increase with the draupadi swayamvar track opening up in the show.
