Oh dear ...this threads seems to be turning into Kurushetra too...
If I may...can I point that-

1) Why would questioning hurt someone's feelings...A rose is a rose ...does it matter if 50 people call him thorn. Why would anyone's feelings be hurt or faith shaken? Logic is one perspective and faith another...the truth lies somewhere in between them...how is one supposed to find truth if one will not budge from their stand and accept a different perspective.

2)Why is it so hard to believe that divinity in its human avatar might be fraught with human weaknesses and limitations...does that somehow reduce the greatness of divinity? I believe not. On the other hand why is it so hard to accept that in a world of greys...the divinity chose to side with the least evil...his choice was not perfect and had many flaws but he was better than other options. If we are unable to accept even a slight opposition to our views ...how are we supposed to live in the brave new world that is fast becoming an amalgamation of various beliefs and practices?

3)What is worthy of worship and admiration is not Krishna, Rama, Jesus... but rather their virtues, their tolerance, their acceptance of unconventional.

4)Is is really that difficult to believe that individuals might have modified the original tale over the course of years either to suit the times or their selfish interests. Is that not natural progression of things...it does not even need any active effort on the part of anyone.

Intolerance in the name of religious beliefs happens to be one of the most self justified means for intolerance all over 😆

Having a different perspective is not wrong but you should know how to present it to others.

Agree with you and if some people don't like other's views then they should simply ignore those comments Bashing and insulting humiliating criticizing a member's point of Views are the things that pollute the atmosphere. But what to do some people simply do not understand that other's have the same right to present their own views just because they don't think from the other's minds 😕😕😕 It's such a put off 🤢 One doesn't feel like coming to such dirty atmosphere 🤢 Fights begin from here. Respect everyone and tolerate everyone or ignore those whom you do not agree with. That shud be the moto.

Personally, I think India Forums is a place where you meet strangers and share your views and learn a LOT about every aspect of society, a civilized society in a civilized manner.

Actually there is no need to bash any character. It is possible to place ones views backed with reasons for them in a civil manner without any name calling. Those views can be challenged by those who disagree by placing their own reasons. Some of the reasons put forth may not be convincing to others. That should be fair enough. Why go on locking threads after threads that have some good viewpoints? If at all the mods can point out particular posts that broke the COC of IF and delete those posts but why the entire thread needs to be deleted!!!???? 😕

by saying this i am no way demeaning the geeta and its holiness. the point is same like tulsi. tulsi is the most pavitra plant but we dont bring her in the house. we keep her out only. this is the irony of our religion and lets accept it.

I have never ever heard that Bhagwad Geeta cannot or should not be kept in the house. It is considered most auspicious

I understand you are not demeaning it but you want to question every aspect of Hinduism and do not take things at face value or just because others have great faith in it. You want to form your own opinion. I respect that.

sayaneeh raised a very valid point which hits the bull's eye. when people ask that why karna was killed with treachery , then the reason given is that he was on side of adharma.

Karn was killed by treachery because of Abhimanyu, the way he was involved with his murder regardless whether he killed that boy of 16 yrs old or not. Krishnji himself encouraged Arjun when he hesitated in killing a nihatta Karn, he reminded him of the brutal death of his son Arjun.

I know, I know, now you are gonna tell me it was because of the way Abhimanyu killed Karn's son. The whole battle of Mahabharat was started from the treachery of Duryodhan and Krishnji had to reply in the same language they understood. Ek machhli sare talab ko ganda karti hai that fish was Duryodhan and he spoilt the whole pond which made it difficult for great people like Bheeshm, Kripacharya, Dronacharya, Shalya king, others. Unfortunately, in caughting one fish in the net other fishes also got caught. In fact, I see it as liberation from the coming yug of adharm. Kaliyug.

One more thing, ever since Pandavs came to reside in Hastinapur, Kunti and her kids have been suffering at the hands of Duryodhan and Shakuni and rest of the Kauravs but above all Dhritrashtra. Why do people forgo that when they say that Pandav won only because of Krishn's cheat and treachery. Krishn tried his level best to make Duryodhan understand, to not let things go out of controll, to stop the battle. Who is there who did not try to pacify Duryodhan and pressed for sandhi with Pandavs but alas, thee was no pacifying him. He wa the one who was hell bent upon War. and War happened that killed a lot of people it was a bloody war thru n thru.

If that battle had not happened then it would have been adharm against humanity against civilization against satya against the very foundation upon which the whole sanatan dharm stands Dharm as righteousness and duty towards this brahmand.

Tell me suppose, if Krishnji had not used tricks against Duryodhan or Bheeshm then do you think Pandavs would have woon.?????

I don't think so. If a god had to interven then Duryodhan would have been killed the moment he was born. Or when Duryodhan ordered to imrison Krishn that time Vishnuji would have killed him just like he killed Shishupal. But hundered dollor question is why God let this bloody war begin or let it happen when he could do everything with the click of his finger.

Well, the answer I came up is that he wanted humans to be prepared for kaliyug where he was going to be in invisible form and out of reach of humans only sheer devotion is going to make him come to their aid.

Today, to win in this world, more then arms and armaments, weapons or nukes, my dear, we need to have krishnji's brains and tricks to over power international strength especially those who are our neighbors who have great so called cunning brains behind them against our country. In our coutnry, we are being fooled by our own people, we need to recognize them and defeat them at their own games. They are touts of the west. This is why Krishnji gave us mahabharat and geeta ka gyan. 😉😉 We need to outsmart our enemies. Yes hai geeta ka gyan Yeh hai Geeta ka gyan. 😆😆
🥳

now karna is believed to be human form of shani dev. what if shani dev followers come here and say that how can you call our god's human form as adharmi ,?

krishna was happy on the death of ghatotkach because arjun was going to be safe. on the other hand lord buddha teaches us to treat even animals with same love and compassion like our own human relatives. He must have a reason behind it for the good of Pandavs.

well its very important to know the loopholes in our own religion and this can happen only by healthy discussions. staying in an ignorant bliss is not going to help at all.

Expressions of your points and putting things across in a manner is on one side and talking about them by putting those characters down and criticizing them in a bad shape is on other side.

I have seen the threads talking about a topic which is really a good topic to begin with and people would love to read what others have to say, but somewhere it goes on further to bashing the characters and bashing the ideologies of the writers and the creations.

This show is a show created by the makers, taking the inscribes of the mythological books and historians, we cant expect that the show will stick true to the facts written by the great epics of our times, somewhere, unfortunately, the show takes a creative liberty which people dont appreciate.

Remember we have many age groups in the forum. what you write, will be followed by many, I asked for the authenticity for the same reason, there are many people who have not read Mahabharata, and are watching on today's tv, for them what you write will hold true, so when you all r putting the topics we obviously have to observe and sync them.

People are religious, people are sentimental and we cant change it. If you guys come across to such posts you can always pm the mod or me if you are not satisfied with the replies given to you.

I am not stopping you to post the topics, because its all of you who make the forum a btr place to be there and expressing our views, but in what way and what do I write is to be checked.

Again please remember, its btr not to say the incomplete facts and make people assume it.

We dont like to close the topics, but if the topic starts taking a debate mode, or a bashing comes in the picture of the member or the actor or the character, then we have to close it from further destructions.

Hope all of you understand this and are matured enough to know both the sides of the coin. Thankyou.
