SO better we ignore. If you have read my post it clearly said do ignore each other. We people won't go to your religious post u people don't come in our post that has different perspective. Anyway when talk about hurting religion this same country there are people who worships KARNA and yes Duryadhan. so you may hurt them while cursing them. where will you drag the line of religion in India??

about logic of Laden .. well there was no LOGIC it was religion don't we know that
about Hitler .. I would take at least a new post to talk about it .. this is no r8 place .. rather u please watch Chaplin's The Great Dictator

Such forces become powerful when sane people keep quite they refrain from criticizing them and later those who believe in them become powerful from the silence of others and start creating havok and hell on Earth.

Osama Bin LAden is alive even today oh not in his own body but in the mind of fanatic people. Look at other countries how al qaida is killing people in the name of Jihad.

@ SayaneeH

You came up with the constitutional right of freedom of speech, I quoted the same constitutional law which makes tolerance towards others religious belief mandatory...by questioning the divinity of lord Krishna, one is getting intolerant towards those who believe his divinity. The same is applicable to Jesus, Allah...many others.

If one should not be stopped to do the above in the name of freedom of speech and logics then that paves way to others to call Jesus a B********, Prophet a lu*********, Mary a W*********, Krishna womani**** shiva a transg******. This is a dangerous mind set.

Extremely sorry for the above line...i would appreciate if people be a little sensitive towards others sentiments and not to push others religious sentiments under the rug in the name of right to speak.

well said agree with you 👏👏👏

wow so now you calling the people who dont keep mb pictures in the house as SUPERSTITIOUS. so many people here are saying that nobody has the right to question the belief of others but now here you are yourself calling others as superstitious. blasphemy personified.

however i am happy to know that you have so many pics of mb in the house. well do you even have any pic of krishna offering draupadi to karna ? 😉 just asking out of curiosity because you only said that you have various pics so i wanted to know if you have this one also.
no offence dear😊

@ poisedon

The bold/blue sentence form you post clearly brings out your intentions to seek the so called " freedom of speech". Please Carry on with your healthy discussion...it was a great pleasure to know your mindset..

God bless you.

nobody raised the constitutional rights point so as to pass bad words to any god. we only want our own space where we can decently have healthy conversations between us. we are not even interested in shoving our opinion on others and banging our head because seriously we are not so jobless.

who ever used any cuss word for krishna that you are using them to all the gods right from mahadev to jesus christ.

nobody is interested in NAME CALLING any god. we only want our space where we can discuss different perspectives in a civil way.

please dont give unnecessary twists to the thread with the AGENDA of getting it closed down. i am reporting this to the mods👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

@ bold: I used these words for gods????? Do you understand the meaning of " pave way for others" . You can go ahead and report...I really got scared 😆and yeah thanks for informing me.

How is discussing a different perspective about an epic being equated to abusing any religion or its Gods !? If beliefs are built on a strong foundation there should be no fear of anything destabilising it much less a simple discussion. I dont see how such a foundation can be built by rote learning of borrowed interpretations . What is the harm in some reflection on our belief system? Those who feel uncomfortable to reflect on their beliefs or feel that it is based on a sound system can stay away from such discussions just as some members stay away from the fan threads. I think the TM has come up with a good suggestion where the two groups can co exist peacefully, unless intolerance by one group is getting in the way 😉 😆

OMG what is this ? there is a new Mahabharata happening on this thread😲

I feel everyone has an equal right to express their views. Also everyone has the equal right to follow and have faith in their own beliefs. Many are getting preachy here about hinduism and other religions and generalizing things like "we hindus are very superstitious" I think every human being following any faith, religion, believer , or non believer has certain personal superstitions, even western culture has its own sorts of superstitious beliefs like Friday the 13th and not walking under a ladder . So I would never generalize any religion as such.

Asking questions or doubts should never be banned, if it is then there is no point of having this forum.

the simple matter of whether two threads should be made or not is being unnecessarily stretched this far and things that don't relate to the topic of this thread are being dragged in.

I am sure if two different threads are made people will post responsibly. Also for people who do not want to read or believe the other thread should just stop visiting it (Just like we do on ATs we do not visit the AT of the actor we dont like).

The problem here is everyone is trying to change others POV which is not advisable, every person has the right to have a mind and opinion of her/his own.

The other thing is I agree that there are people who doubt the actions of god, pandavs n others in the epic and give their own explanation or rather try to fix the pieces in the puzzle on their own, which offends others as they completely believe on the spirituality behind these actions of god.

But if the others do not feel or believe in the spirituality behind the acts of god then please let them be, please do not try to correct because for many applying logic is the only thing that they feel confortable in and for some relying on the holy texts is comfortable. Both are not wrong in anyways.

I would do a Gandhari (i.e blind fold) for the posts that I dont support/ relate to but never try to Impose my opinion on the member who posted it. But If I have information to to share I will share it and if i want it to be corrected I will post it likewise as i always do (please correct me experts if i am wrong)

So please Mods may we have two posts ? Because I really want to explore discussing this great epic from both the perspectives spiritual as well as logical...

Absolutely agreed , the Topic maker has made a suggestion to minimize fights and we should either support it or be indifferent thinking it might not work out , this digression is not even related to the topic .

True and I agree with you. For thousands of years this community, with it's faith intact, has been surviving but after a lot of blood shed. I am sure, you must have studied history of our neighboring countries attached to us. My dear two hands are needed to clap. Similarly, freedom of speech as well as tolerance and respect for each other should be reciprocated but it does not happen majority of times. Tolerance is one sided.

We believe in freedom of speech and liberal views sometimes that can be dangerous. Time and again it has been proved.

No need to be sorry. Dear you have full right to express your views. 👍🏼

Hello everyone.
Let's understand few pts.
In this thread some members are ready to respect other's Religious views. But the most important part is everyone's criteria while doing so is very different from others. What is offending for one may not be for others. This is a sensitive issue.
The most important part is this is forum of the show Mahabharat shown on TV. A show's forum discusses various aspects aired in different epi.
What many of you are asking is an uninterupted freedom to discuss what is not shown in this MB.
We have a thread {| Doubts and Discussions about Mahabharata |}, to discuss various doubts about MB. This thread can be used, it will not closed down. But posting wrong & absurd views there will not be allowed.
Asking members not to read threads made by others is not possible. Tolerance level is very low among everyone. Even those who demand freedom, space, are not able to accept opposing views. It is seen in various threads. In such circumstance, asking one belief group to keep away from other's topics will not work. In fact it may attract more fights.
Being sensible, thoughtful while participating in this forum is the only solution.

Regards
