Agree. So weird that Drona is not yet informed about this. I think they will send a messanger to Hastinapur and he will bring back he bad news.

May be.. they can also skip it altogether..

Short summary of Hidimba story if anyone interested

Bhima leaves his family to fetch water
Hidimb smells human, sees Bhima and sends Hidimbi to bring him
Hidimbi changes form and approaches Bhima. She falls in love
She proposes Bhima to accept her as wife. Bhima refuses
Hidimb gets angry on Hidimbi and comes to handle Bhima himself
They fight. Pandavas and Kunti come there. Hidimb killed
Kunti and Yudi approve Hidimbi's request and sends Bhima with her on a condition that Bhima will get back to them once their son is born..

According what I have read Dronacharya knows that Pandavas are alive. But he didn't wanted Arjun to marry his foe's daughter because he and Draupad though looked all peaceful outside but inside they couldn't stand each other. But here in this show they have became great friends again.

No, everybody thought that the Pandavas were dead, including Vidura. In fact, I'd have to re-read to see whether even Bheeshma knew - it was such a top secret.

But what they showed - Drona & Drupada being friends once again in complete hogwash. Drona so hated the Panchalas that in the war, b/w him & Ashwatthama, they killed Drupada & his entire family, including Draupadi's sons.

I remember all except Vidura believed they were dead.. but it is true that there were rumors about their escape too.. First one to know was the eavesdropping Drishtyadumna after which Yudi confirm the same to Drupada..

They showed that it was tradition that the killer of the demon chief would marry the dead demon's sister/daughter and replace him. There was nothing like that.
