Definately i agree i would prefer having a dark actor playing krishna and draupadi but more than that i would prefer a good actor no matter what skin colour it is.If fair skinned actors have better acting ability than dark skinned actors to potray these chracters i would prefer the former acting matters the most.SRJ and Pooja despite their skin colur are doing an excellent job playing krishna ji and Drauapdi hence no complaints or mocking

SRJ is doing a great job, agree. I have liked him since DKDM.

but my point is, the showmakers never try to find darker skin toned actors. I am sure there would be quite a few if they look for them, people with theatre background.

But NO!!!! they do not. and we as viewers do not consider that as any sort of distortion.

Even if they find a dark actor, they will but tons of makeup to make him/her look close to fair.

But by dark skinned, are we talking like Johnny Lever dark or something more lighter up the spectrum?

yep pretty much supports what we've been thinking all along. It's their own version and their way of trying to be as different from BRC as possible (which is understandable). At least we've heard it from them officially, though to be honest, I do think it would have been interesting the effect and impact if they kept to the closest rendition we have of the MB (since everything except the random oddities in the plot are excellent)... kind of like NDTV's Ramayana vs. the old Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana.

Guess this thread is kinda moot now 😆 Now to sit back, relax, and enjoy the rest of the ride. *pops a coke*

Agreed even i think whatever is there in the epic is very good and intresting in itself that no additions are required after all we do love the original epic that is why we are all here.In any case i dont think any one is expecting this serial to be close to epic now we have learnt that it wont be

But yet i do expect them to interpret tracks logically and dont make tracks look as illogical as other daily soaps that much i do expect.For example i dont want to see characters blamed for something that they had nothing to do with in the original epic for example drupad has nothing to do with Drauapdi's misreis but now he will probably be balmed for everything so much deviation i dont expect (probably will stil get) but i am saying there is a differnece in interpreting and showing someting that is completley different or opposite to the epic.This is just one thing they have shown several illogical things like this.They cna show their interpretaion there is no issue but essence or spirit of the epic must be maintained.

So to conclude i would love to see their interpretation as long as its logical and not completly against the essence of the epic.
