Why is Arjuna shown as leader of the Pandavas?

The other thing that stunned me 😆 was Dronacharya yelling like Tarzan after Eklavya had gone thumbless

Really , was that nonsense necessary

Rishis in those days were so dignified and contained , even when he heard news that Ashwathama was dead he was so dignified in grief , he sat in meditation and gave up his body , he did not give such yells or tear his hair

can CVs please put a lid on the over drama that SPOILS the great epic

The Mahabharat is not only about Arjun , its about other heroes and villains too . Without Bheem , Karna , Duryodhan , Dushasan etc its incomplete .

Romance and masala is there in other stories too , do the CVs know it ,

Bheem was the first to marry although Yushishtir was the eldest . His marraige to Hidimba produced one of the most interesting offspring among the Pandava brothers ...Ghatotkach

Just as Arjun's son Abhimanyu became famous , Ghatotkach became famous

Both were killed in the war

both were heroes

Bheem's entire katha is gripping , right from his mighty feats to his marraiges , to his wisdom [ he advised Yushisthir wisely many many times and did NOT agree implicitly with him but dared to point out the risks] to his ego [ later squashed by Hanuman] to his extreme love for Draupadi [ roaring to kill Dushasana and drink his blood and break the very thigh Duryodhan patted asking Dushasan to seat her there , killing Keechak ]

Killing Vikarna sadly

Arjun may have got realisation from Krishna but he fell before Bheem in the maha prasthanika parva .

They really have no need to distort , the epic is gripping by itself .

100% agree firstly showing Arjun leading pandavas is wrong also showing Arjun vs Duryodhan in the end is wrong.

It was always BheeM vs Duryodhan and Karan vs Arjun

ThEY are over promoting Arjun's character and not treating other pandav charcter's equally where as Bheem and Yudhishtir are equally important.I dont know why they are being given this step motherly treatment

But it hink its becuase shaheer sheikh is a more popular face hence they are promoting him more than other pandavas.As long as this biasness is only in promos i am ok but it shouldnt filter to the serial.I hope Bheem's brave acts are given as much imprtnace as Arjun.Arjun isnt the hero of MB as it is Nakul and sahdev wont have much role to play atleast Bheem and Yudhishtir should be given their due importance.I hope this doesnt become Shaheer Sheikh show

Yes, Mahabharat is not just about Arjun but other characters as well.But the makers want to cash on the actor plays Arjun, that is why they are biased. It is all over dramatised. They are not showing layers of each of the characters just focussing on exteriors.

The promo could be misleading...Wait till they ALL are introduced...I am pretty sure Yudhishtir will come first...in the promo they may be advertising Arjun because Arjun, due to his Lord Krishna connection, is famous among us...CV's are promoting the show and who better than Arjun 😊

I think they are promoting Arjun more as shaheer sheikh is a popular face and will pull in more audeince.I hope once the epsiode is shown all pandavas get their due importance.Because this is Mahabharat not Arjun the warrior prince all pandavas are important and need to be shown like that

In their childhood they have done justice to all pandavas.Bheem's stories were given as much importnace as Arjun's and they gave yudhishtir whatever importance they could.Hopefully in the adult version they do the same as well.

I was also shocked seeing the promo

My mom was confused as well as how come Arjun is leading the Pandavas...and she couldn't understand the logic in it

I think they r using it only in promos to bring in more audience and not in the serial...because that will actually spoil the essence of MahaBharat

Arjun is no doubt, one of the best char in Mahabharat but so r the others, specially Yudistir and Bheem...Each char has its own importance

I can't express it in words that how much this is irking me the fact that they are highlighting Arjun so much😡. He was a great warrior indeed and so was Bheem and all the brothers did not do anything without Yudhisthir's approval.

2 tests of Arjun showed utterly wrongly ...he pierced the crocodile with his ARROWS

he practised archery in the dark as Drona ordered the cook to serve him food in the dark

He used the varuna astra NOT to quench Karna's agni astra but to fill a narrow pot ...this test was set up purposefully to convince Ashwathama that Arjun deserved special attention as he was the best archer in the gurukul

dunno WHY they even showed Drona Karna confrontation in FRONT of the other students .

Karna and his confrontation with the princes is at the skills display event , years later .

Actually the CVS of Mahabharat have a most easy job . They have a ready made story . So why r they using their own head and messing it up all the time with inadequate basic research .

@red. that was the exact thought i had in my head when i saw the Drona Karn confrontation. They have condensed the whole 12 years of education to Arjuna and his archery and Drona's appreciation to that skill.

And last night's episode showed Ashwathama in the role of a messenger between Duryodhan and Shakuni. what was that??😕 Any idea?? 😕

it was not about being best or not...the point is it was not done. Yudhishtir being the eldest always stood first. The brothers followed. As Nakula had said after Pandu's death, Yudhistir placed himself in the role of a father / guardian.
