You know guys this kind of discussionscan go on for ever as to what they should show and they are actually showing.
I have always enjoyed reading or watching MB in any form, . But here my only complain is that they are showing too much of negativity and the characters are going too far to prove their viewpoint. I just can't digest the atrocities of Duryodhana and even Ashwathama, the way he vents out his anger at his dad, the way Kripa and Drona taunt each other...unbelievable.
Again here I feel their theory would be to make this MB relatable to the youngsters of the new generation but even then I don't think they should distort the characters in such a way😕.

I agree with this. In their attempt to show the logic behind every negative behaviour, they are ignoring some sweet moments. Bhishma had a veryspecial affection for Arjun, but that's completely ignored...😕

"Dhrit taunting Satyavati" scene was just too much. He never insulted any of his elders, not even Vidur. Satyavati never went to search for Pandu.

Also, she treated all her grandsons equally. Vidur being a dasi putra didn't matter because he was her own blood, just like Dhrit and Pandu.

Thats what they are doing, showing all the villainous side of the characters and negating the warm relationships and the love and concern that they had for each other.
On the other hand Dhrits blind love for Duryodhan is known to every body but that certainly wasn't that obvious in public as they are showing. When both Yudi and Duro came to seek his blessing before their departure he made it very clear that his genuine blessings and love was solely for Duro😲. Being a king how can he be biased that too in front of the whole clan and kingdom. It was definitely a OTT scene.

Actually the youngsters of today could learn a lot from the serial if they don't show such back sass and the respect that was a hallmark of that age .

Drith back sassing Satyavati

The scene where Duryodhan touched feet [ was that even called touching feet] of Yudhishtir

him demanding that the Pandavas touched THEIR feet

No . It was not so in that age . Touching feet was a basic etiquette . One never crossed elders or talked to them sarcastically with loud raised voices . When the Kauravas differed with Bheeshma later , it was in official capacity , in court . That too had protocol .

They showed Kauravas roaming like gundas in market ...no . Princes got strict training on how to conduct themselves . They had more pressure than the common man .

Personal relations are never shown . Bheeshma was their grandfather in personal time . Dritharashtra loved Vidur personally as a brother though offically he conveniently did not heed his advice later . Drith respected his grandmother Satyavati .

The character of Satyavati's father was never shown , that character was done away with , he plays a crucial role in laying these conditions before Bheeshma .

Satyavati never went to fetch Pandu . News of his death broke her and on Vyasa's advice she went to the forest with Ambika and Ambalika and the 3 died there later .

Satyavati was not as negative as shown in the serial . She is grey . Beautiful , ambitious , great ruler with foresight , her relation with Bheeshma is extremely interesting in the Mahabharat . They talked . She relied on him and trusted him implicitly .

I feel

the interaction between grandfather Bheeshma and grandsons could have been shown

the interaction between Dushala and the Pandavas should have been shown more . She was the only one from Kaurava side who liked them . She had a special bond with the brothers .

Arjuna has spared her grandson only due to love for her .

She talked to Arjun and was an advocator of peace and ashamed of her husband's behaviour and lust for Draupadi .

She said to Arjun that we all need peace not this strife .

Yudhishtir did not allow Bhima to take Jayadrath's life when he tried to kidnap Draupadi in the forest and told him that we must keep in mind that he is our Dushala's husband .

Dushala is shown only playing with dolls . Girls in those days did not go to gurukul but were tutored privately in palaces in all arts , sciences and even warfare like chariot riding , horse man ship , sword fighting etc . Kaikeyi , Madri , Kunti were well versed in all knowledge .

Dushala's interaction with Drith is never shown . Only bonding with Duryodhan is shown .
