Im absolutely enjoying watching the Mahabharat so far, and applaud the cojoined effort of these actors who are very much into their roles. The kid cast esp put a smile on my face, even Duryodhan is humourous when he forces an act of pretence (while Shakuni contniues to twist poisonous ideas into his ignorant n impressionable mind) and equally entertaining is Bheemas genuine care and love for food that everthing around him simply gets blanked out. Certainly the atmosphere has lightened somewhat with these childrens entry, although the seeds of war are being sown.. .
I just hope they don't grow up soon: ts insightful to see their childhood innocence in retrospect, n by virtue of being familiar to the story, we know what is to happen with these kids, that its sad thing for instance when you see the sincerity of Bheema as he befriends Duryodhan or Yudhisthiras earnestness asd he fed Duryodhana, and even Duryodhans genuine fear and pang of guilt as he watches Bheema fall to the ground before him.. tragedy is inscribed in all this. So its necessary to set up the mood of tension that surfaced between the Pandavas n Kauravas at their early years. More fuel is added to the fire with every episode n thus the cold war ensues..
I just love also the fact that these kids are going to become great warriors and are perhaps still oblivious to their own glory. Yudhisthira is to be king but for now he's just a humble teenager trying to live a truthful and peaceful life.

I absolutely agree i really like the young pandavas.Now i am even warming up to Kunti as well their family scenes along with Kunti are a treat to watch.Good,humble,truthful and righteous family who are trying to live by their morals in a world with unjust people.Stuff heroic stories are made of.And now is just the begining.I guess we feel so much for them becuase we know what future holds for them despite being good and just they will suffer a lot.Hence even while playing young and innocent we feel for them since we know what future holds for them

@ Sabhayata It's enjoyable just watching recognisable characterisrics and habits beginning to form in these characters, indeed this includes the adult actors too
@ poseidon 2 really? that's a shame, I think the others are well suited to their respective roles. Dushashan always lived under his brothers shadow following him blindly into every action of darkness, he might be seen as subservient to Duryodhana( whereas Karna as a loyal friend knew what was wrong but being friendship bound unable to extricate himself from Duryodhana wishes). Although, I don't quite understand the need to have Sahadeva announce to all his premonitions whenever he sensed something bad, but maybe @s he grows he will learn to reserve his anxieties, afterall he was bound to keep silent even though he knew of the inevitable calamities to strike the family ties leading to partition and war for rights. Arjuna we have yet to see his moment of glory when Drona assigns to him the title of being the best of archerers. Yudhisthira detached, unaffected approach to things is clearly highlighted as are the others own particular demeanors. Indeed there is exxaggeration on all parts, ie every character has a quality that is easily and noticeably attributed to him/her.

welll Bheem's dialogue last night proved that this kid Bheem will grow up to be the angry and strong Bheem we all know.And yudhishtir's dialogue that we should forgive kauravas as they are our brother's shows that this teenage yudhishtir will grow up to be Mr goddy two shoes yudhishtir we all know.So even as kids they are maintaining the same characterstics
