The dialog w/ Arjun didn't seem to reflect that:

The cheerless sister then said unto her brother, who was equally cheerless, these words: 'Behold thy sister. Behold the child of thy sister's son. O perpetuator of Kuru's race, O thou that art fully conversant with every duty, it behoveth thee to show mercy to this child, forgetting the Kuru prince (Duryodhana) and the wicked Jayadratha. Even as that slayer of hostile heroes, Parikshit, has been born of Abhimanyu, so has this mighty-armed child, my grandson, sprung from Suratha. Taking him with me, O chief of men, I have come to thee, desirous of the safety of all the warriors. Do thou listen to these words of mine. This child of that wicked foe of thine hath now come to thee, O mighty-armed hero. It behoveth thee, therefore to show mercy to this infant. O chastiser of foes, this infant seeks to gratify thee by bending his head. He solicits thee for peace. O mighty-armed hero, be inclined to make peace. O thou that art conversant with every duty, be thou gratified with the child whose friends and kinsmen have all been slain and who himself knows nothing of what has happened. Do not yield to wrath. Forgetting his disreputable and cruel grandfather, who offended against thee so highly, it behoveth thee to show thy grace towards this child.' Recollecting queen Gandhari and king Dhritarashtra, Dhananjaya, afflicted with grief, addressed Dussala who had said so unto him, and answered her, censuring Kshatriya practices the while. 'Fie on Duryodhana, that mean wight, covetous of kingdom and full of vanity! Alas, it was for him that all my kinsmen have been despatched by me to the abode of Yama.' Having said so, Dhananjaya comforted his sister and became inclined to make peace. Cheerfully he embraced her and then dismissed her, telling her to return to her palace. Dussala bade all her warriors desist from that great battle, and worshipping Partha, she of beautiful face retraced her steps towards her abode.

But her actions beg to differ no? i mean even if she believed and accepted that Jayadratha was no angel and had behaved wrongly towards Arjuna, he still was her husband.
if she could have chosen, she wouldnt have wanted Arjuna to take his revenge on the expense of her becoming a widow.
just wondering🤔

She was sitting in Sindhu while her husband was fighting the war. So she had no control over whether Arjun got to kill him or not. Once she knew that she was widowed, her son was crowned king, and they ruled for a few months, during which time, her grandson was born.

Cue to the Ashwamedha yagna, and the horse finally enters Saindava territory. The Saindavas remember that it was Arjun who slew their late king, and is now invading their kingdom, w/ the horse picking them as a target. Their current king has just died of fright/ended his life. They received no instructions from their queen, so their default reaction to that horse entering was to capture it & fight. That they did, until they were completely demoralized and defeated, & many slain.

It was after that to prevent any more bloodletting that Duhsala came & sued for peace, humiliating herself for the purpose. Of course, Arjun had to follow that horse & fight anyone who challenged him, but it wasn't his intention to remove Duhsala's family from the throne, or to annex Sindhu. Once she appealed to him to spare her grandson, he not only did that, but honorably asked her to return to the palace, while she ordered the army to stop fighting.

But like you, I too thought that she could have prevented the whole thing by ordering her army in advance not to obstruct the horse. But it was probably difficult if Suratha committed suicide fearing the worst. Maybe that was why the Saindava army decided to fight Arjun.

Wow it is so weird that her son killed himself. Just because he didnt want to go to war with arjuna?Or was he scared of him so much.Someone said that he was just weak and had a heartattack. The other weird thing is that some people believe that dusalas grandson fought with arjuna? How is that possible if he was just a toddler? And why did arjun made chitrangadas son fight him when he was offering peace. he wasnt challanging arjuna?

Yeah, her son was a real coward, like his father. If he thought he didn't have a chance against Arjun, he could have simply let the horse through. If he wished to avenge his father, he could have gone into battle & died fighting, like did some princes of Trigartha. But dying like that and leaving his subjects demoralized was a total act of cowardice
