Someone said that Karna was defeated in Draupadi's Swayamvar just because Arjuna took out Brahmashira and Karna did not use it as he did not want to use it against a Brahmana...So,as far as I know,Karna did not have Brahmashira...Only Arjuna,Ashwatthama and Drona had that!😕

Karna had Brahmashira, Parshurama taught him, Its quite evident that after matching Arjuna shot to shot in Swayamvar Karna retreated because of the Brahmashira weapon. Kavach Kundala were taken from him before virat yudha, he did not use his celestial bow till his last day. One can openly say he always fought with his one hand tied back. There are other points (In the article I posted ) which concrete this fact.

Its partially a myth, aint it?. Most people have this misconception that after seeing Sikhandi, Bhishma laid down all his weapons while Arjuna attacked the weaponless Bhishma.

Bhishma too attacked Arjuna " Bhishma, the valiant son of Santanu, as if for the object of consuming the Pandavas, hurled a dart at Partha. Partha, however, caused that dart to drop down"

Sikhandi was on Arjuna's chariot the whole day, still Bhishma attacked Arjuna.

And as per the battle rules,Arjuna could not attack on any weaponless warrior.

Thanks for enlightening me.😊

@TheWatcher You should have made this topic with the title "Who was most powerful warrior in particular type of weaponry in MB" cozz it is quite difficult to contrasts between wrestlers and archers...Archers could mix magic with their arrows but wrestlers could not...😕

well, what do u have in support of your answer????means something that truly proves that Bheeshma was the greatest warrior n superior than all others...😕

For me a true warrior is the one who has the 'Character' of a complete warrior along with powers. Bhishma almost defeated lord Parashurama, his respect and devotion was quite evident then. Had he lacked the character of a warrior, lord would have cursed him without a delay. The Kashi swayamvara, where he defeated all the assembled men single handedly. Krishna counts this particular achievement of him along with the fact that Parashurama couldn't overcome him. HP kingdom was protected by him..even age didn't have any effect. He was the commander-in-chief for max 10 days and the last three men shared the remaining 8 days. At last but not the least, he planned his defeat himself.

That would have been 'not so attractive' title, wouldn't it.?

Yudisthira who is often seen as a 'not so good' warrior had brahmastra with him, He countered Drona's Brahmastra with his own and gave him an equal fight.

A warrior should be all round, People can choose Bhima, who is stopping them, Bhima's feat's are no less than Arjuna.

Shikhandi wasn't present on Arjuna's chariot whole day!

The above quote indicates that Shikhandi wasn't on Arjuna's chariot all the time. There are several other sentences. On one occasion Bhishma immediately withdrew his celestial weapon as soon as Shikhandi came ahead Arjuna.

Dronacharya too could not be defeated as long as he had his weapon in his hands.😕
He too consisted of virtues of a true warrior.
Well,I don't know about his achievements.😆

Should not Kripacharya be too in the list? Was not he also a mighty warrior.😕

See what Bheeshma said,

He CLEARLY SAID TO PANDAVAS WHEN THEY APPROACHED HIM TO KNOW HOW THEY COULD WIN HIM, BHEESHMA SAID '' I AM INVINCIBLE EVEN TO GODS. But I would tell you a secret,I would not fight any woman, or a person who was born as female and turned male afterwords.so Sikhandi was there , you have her in front , and I will not touch any weapons , do astra sanyaas, then you could win me.''

Oh come on! You're keeping Drona in Bhishma's category? Don't you know that Abhimanyu was slaughtered when he was the commander? He fired celestial weapons on ordinary foot soldiers and broke all the rules made by Bhishma. How he had the 'Character' of a warrior then?

Bhishma, Arjuna and Drona were the supreme warriors, Ati-maharathis. I've chosen Bhishma because I feel he was the best among these three. Reasons have been stated already!
