I agree. There is no doubt story has been altered alot but as long as they maintain the essence soul and respect of the story i can digest the changes..But i do hope these alterations and changes reduce in future storylines since till now we were dealing with a lot of minor characters as well and distortions in them can be acceptable but now we will be dealing with main characters hence these main characters shouldnt be distorted lets see

Were Nakul and Sahdev better than Duryodhan as warriors?

Yeah, they were. I mean, all the Pandavas were superior warriors to Drupada & Dhristadyumna, and both of them defeated Duryodhan in battle - one during the gurudakshina battle, and the other @ Kurukshetra. Also, when Yudisthir challenged Duryodhan @ the lake, he told him that if Duryodhan could defeat any of the 5 of them, the Pandavas would concede defeat and hand over the kingdom. By then, Duryodhan was unmatched in mace fight, which concerned Krishna.

But at the time being shown, there was no way Duryodhan would have defeated Nakul or Sahadev.

There is no mention of Vrishaketu in Vyasa's Mahabharata - it only gets described in good detail in Jamenaya's Mahabharata. So if one goes by the Vyasa account, the Pandavas were the only ones who could have done it.

No, and this is the key thing. He told Krishna to keep that a secret and not to let the Pandavas know. He said that if Yudisthir ever got to know that, he'd hand over all rights to Hastinapur/Indraprastha to Karna, and Karna would in turn, to repay Duryodhan, hand them over to him, leaving the Pandavas destitute. Besides, he regretted insulting Draupadi, and asked that Krishna protect them.

Essentially, once he knew, Karna had a secret soft corner for the Pandavas, although in the heat of battle, he did help in the killings of Abhimanyu, and killing Ghatotkacha himself.

what about Kunti?? did she ever meet karna ???

I have read in a post that Bheshema was aware of him being a Kunteya... is this True???

and Arjuna killed Karna... wasnt that consider as a sin cause Karna was his elder bro>????

But the rangbhoomi incident when they were all represented to the Hastinapur people Bheem and Duryodhan were equally matched in mace fight( as per the book) and this was before Duryodhan took training from Balram. So if Bheem and Duryodhan were equal during rangbhoomi means that they were equally good warriors at that time.Or am i missing something?

but why the anger towards arjun..arjun did not stop him from entering the comptetition but it was draupadi who did not want to marry a suta putra.. then why so much unnecessary anger on arjun?

My second question did karna really was in love with draupadi? please does any one know this?

thanks kools.. my theory is that krishna being the all knowing almighty may have sensed this from karna's side..and tempted him with this offer...

apart from that didnt draupadi said somewhere that if she would had not stopped karna at her swayamvar ,she would b his wife and all this humiliation of her would never had happened and she would had lived a peaceful and happy life... (please correct me if I'm wrong)

she stopped him coz she knew he would win and that meant going into a lower kul from a higher birth ...and she did not want that so she exercised her prerogative .

yea i agree but didnt she say that had i not stopped karna i would had been his wife and this vastraharan and insult would never had happened to me...isnt there a story about draupadi plucking a fruit from a tree that belonged to a rishi and in order for her to put it back as it is was hanging on the tree she had to share her hearts most darkest secrets...

will tell u what i know

Draupadi consistently insulted Karna on his low birth and that hurt him deeply . It must be remembered that she was a very sharp tongued woman and in those days a novelty ...perhaps her beauty and sharp tongue made her attractive to men . Karna did not overtly speak of his attraction but he noticed her all right . So did Duryodhan and Dushasan . They all took chances with their innermost feelings at the game of dice . If Dushasan attempted to disrobe her , Duryodhan wanted her seated on his lap and Karna mocked her saying

u already have 5 husbands what will one more [ Duryodhan] matter . [ Karna mocked her chastity as she had often proudly mocked his lower caste .] He then called such a woman a wh**e .

Vikarna , the only one from the Kaurava side spoke in her defence and an angry Karna asked his intentions about Draupadi .

U see , the men were talking on a guy level , as i read it . They were brutally true to their innermost feelings . ALL of them had been attracted to her at some time or the other , some had been insulted by her , some had been accepted by her , but ALL had been attracted by her .

Then Gandhari put a stop to all this and she and Dritharashtra , as elders gave her 3 boons.

She freed her husbands from slavery

she asked for their weapons back

but she refused to use the third boon saying they will earn it back on their own merit .

It shows dignity .

It was at this point that Karna could not help it but grudgingly praised her for setting her husbands free and not using the third boon but showing spirit and dignity , saying that the sharp tongued one has intelligence .

Karna was not talking to Bheeshma but had grudgingly praised his valour after observing it for 10 days .

Karna gave credit where it was due . Draupadi awoke the beast in him with her slights . And critics try to analyze this complex attraction which he never uttered but showed by these remarks .
