Actually, in the 2nd list above, some lists have Sulochana & Srimati (wife of rishi Kapila) there, in place of Arundhati & Damayanti, and Anusuya in place of Sati (I don't think divine women fell in these lists, since they'd easily have achieved the above - nobody talks about the pativrata aspects of Parvati, Saraswati, Lakshmi, Sachi, Sanjana, et al).

I doubt that Damayanti would have qualified, given her willingness to risk her marriage by announcing her remarriage to anyone who could be in her father's kingdom within a day. Arundhati, in the Mahabharata, is said to have turned her back on Vashistha once she had sons - something mentioned in the Khandavprastha burning story of the Jarita birds.

Yes, I have mentioned that Sati is replaced with Anusuya. Not so sure about Srimati (what was her claim to fame?)

Precisly. Damayanti knew that none but Nala could ride horses fast enough to reach her within a day. And she had announced her 'swayamvar' after coming to know that Nala was alive and kicking. AFAIK, Damayanti was one of the foremost pativratas.

Arundhati, in the Mahabharata, is said to have turned her back on Vashistha once she had sons - something mentioned in the Khandavprastha burning story of the Jarita birds.

Are you quoting from Rajaji's Mahabharata or from the original? Arundhati has to be in the list, because newly wedded wives are shown the Arundhati star in the sky- to pray to her for domestic felicity.

The thing is, the Pancha Pativrata list is fairly fluid - only Sita and Savitri being constant.

Unlike the Pancha Kanya list which- since it has a Sanskrit Verse to its credit- is fixed.

Ahalya draupadi Kunti tara Mandodari tatha
Panchakanya smarenanityam mahapaapa vinashamnam

There is no corresponding sloka to the Pancha pativrata list - to the best of my knowledge at least. If there os one, I will be happy to learn.

Srimati had no claim to fame other than worshipping Kapila 🤔
I was quoting from Rajaji's Mahabharata. I haven't dug that deep into Khandavprasta dahan in the original. Of course, Rajaji had that unfortunate tendency of projecting his own ideals onto the dwapar yuga, so that part may well have been his creation

Samba, son of Krishna and Jambvanti. The Yadavas dressed up Samba as a girl to play a prank on some visiting rishis. They asked them whether this 'girl' would give birth to a son or daughter. Obv they saw through the disguise, and having OTT tempers they cursed them that Samba would give birth to a mace and this mace would be the ruin of their clan.
To cut a long story short, the boys were scared out their mind and ran to Balaram (some say Ugrasen) and it was ordered that the mace be ground into powder and scattered into the sea. The powder washed up on some reeds and these became sharp as blades. It was with these that the Yadavas, Andhakas, Vrishnis etc killed each other.

To be honest we use Sita instead of Kunti for the Pancha Kanyas. Generally said during the time of the oil bath during Diwali. Not sure which is correct, but we follow the below shlok only. The Sanskrit shloka for that is

Ahalya Tara Draupadi Sita Mandodari tatha
panchakanya smarenanityam mahapaapa vinashanam
