Sage Maitreya once went to Hastinapura and told Duryodhana that he should behave kindly with the Pandavas.. Duryodhana who was not happy with this advice, kept sitting there tapping hi thighs. Sage Maitreya felt insulted and cursed Duryodhana that Bhima would break Duryodhana's thigh.

vatsala was balram's daughter
she was married to abhimanyu with the help of ghatotkach because balrama had gone back on his words. he had promised abimanyu that vatsala will wed him but when the pandava's went to exile balarm changed his mind and sent proposal to duryodhana's son lakshmana.so with the help of ghatotkach vatsala could escape and got married to ahimanyu
