Thanks. I read 3:250, and it's about Duryodhan being consoled after Yudisthir fishes him out of trouble, and yeah, it's there. But it still doesn't make sense, unless Naraka's soul passed into Karna after his death. But then, did Karna have 2 souls? 😕

But Karna already existed b4 Narakasura was killed. So did Karna have no soul b4 that? 😆

Oh, I thought I had implied that Duryodhan's brothers were born just after him - same day, but after Yuyutsu as well. So the order would be

1. Karna
2. Yudhisthir
3. Bhima
4. Duryodhan
5. Yuyutsu
6. Dushashan & the rest, including Duhsala
7. Krishna
8. Arjun
9. Nakul
10. Sahadev
11. Sishupala, Dantavatra, Bhadra, Vinda, Anuvinda, Mitravindya (all kids of Kunti's & Vasudev's sisters)
12. Subhadra

I think you are right about Vasudev marrying earlier - I had forgotten about the first 6 slain babies. But then, wouldn't Kunti have been married b4 Vasudev?

That would depend on how many years there were before Kunti had Yuddhistir?

I know Gandhari was pregnant for two years (i.e. the span of potentially 2 and a bit pregnancies.) Thus we need to account 4 and a bit more before Yuddhistir.

I would have assumed Dhiritashtra would have wanted children ASAP to get the throne of Hastinapur. Which is why I think perhaps Devki and Vasudev married earlier?

Before the Pandavas proceed towards Draupadi swayamvar, through Vayasa, they were much aware of Dhrishtayduma's birth reason..

If Arjuna had any respect for Drona, why win Draupadi and make alliance with Durupad? They were not invited to the swayamvar so there is no question of being shamed of non-participation & they were disguised and considered dead too..

Also Vyasa informs them about Draupadi's previous birth and her boon and that she is destined to marry all five of them.. if that is the case, then why to create a big drama of Kunti asking them to share the biksha, Yudi asking Arjun to marry Draupadi, then noticing his brothers' lust and arriving at the common wife concept? are they trying to cheat Draupadi? If at all he had any idea to rewrite destiny, why did they go to the swayamvar?
