Vrish- I am only quoting from the MB. I too was surprised to find Yudi praised for his martial abilities.
And if he too could summon the divyastras, then what was the need for Arjuna to perform penance go all the way up to Indralok ?

I just was curious to know why Karna had his end in such a horrific way...
Scholars say this is ...God's way of achieving karmic balance. In his previous life, Krishna was Rama. And Rama had sided with Surgiva, monkey son of Surya, the sun-god, and shot Bali, monkey son of Indra, the rain-god, in the back. As Krishna, it was necessary to reverse the situation. God sided with Arjuna, who was the son of Indra, while shooting Karna, the son of Surya, in the back. He who is blessed with divine favors in one lifetime loses it in the next; thus are the books of karma balanced and closure achieved.

1..why is karna not shown wearing his golden Armor(Kavacham)in the serial...he is shown bare chested
2..the bee which stings Karna ..was it not Indra who because of his insecurity that Indira will become stronger than his son Arjuna he becomes a bee and stings him and later of course asks for daan for his kavacham and earings.

Yes Krishna sided with Indra's son Arjuna to establish the balance as he had sided with Sun's son Sugriv as Rama.
But I think Karna's horrific death was related to Abhimanyu's. When Karna was pulling his chariot wheel. lord Krishna instructed Arjuna to attack him. Arjuna uttered he's without any weapons and hence attacking would be unfair. Then Krishna reminded him of the way his son was killed.

Figment of CV's imagination.
They are just trying to make Kunti a more sympathetic character than she actually was in MB
So that in the end people cant really blame her for karan's situation

Well it wast only for acheiving karmic balances. At the end of the day we have to accept that karan was fighting for adharam.Yes karan was a great hero there is no doubt but that was his tragedy that even though he knew that Duryodhan was wrong and that fighting for Duryodhan means fighting for adharam he knew he had no choice he valued Duryodhan's friendship alot and why wouldnt he Duryodhan was the only one who never abandoned or cursed him.
Hence krishna got him killed becuase at end of the day for whatever reason he was fighting for adharam had karan lived there was chance that Duryodhan would have won and Krishna as god couldnt let adharam win.
Also about karmic balances there is another story about how Karan in his previous life was a demon a demon with imprenetable armor and then Krishna and Arjun were Nar and Narayan who had failed to kill him hence they had to kill him in this life.
But for me more than teh karmic balnaces it was for victory of Dharam

  1. CV's imagination. Karna's armor was an external armor which anybody could see - it was seeing that that Kunti realized that it was her first-born. The CVs have made it something inside him so that it's only visible if a weapon strikes him
  2. I read somewhere that the scorpion - not bee - was some other mythological figure, not Indra - who went there w/ the purpose of exposing him.
