Dhṛṣṭadyumna and Śikhaṇḍin could have been called Saumaki, but the text doesn't give us instances.

Another character is called Saumaki at Droṇaparvan 61.39. Who is he?

The variant Somaki is used for Yajñasena Drupada at Udyogaparvan 149.60, and for which character at Udyogaparvan 139.25?

There is a Panchala warrior named Janamjeya, who is called Somaki.

If you're referring to Karṇaparvan 60.20, what I see in the text is that Somaka (not Somaki) must refer to Janamejaya of Pañcāla.

It's all the same thing. A descendant of Somaka is a Somaka, or Saumaki (variant Somaki). Somaka himself was called Sahadeva because that was his father's name, although calling him Sāhadevi would have made the relationship clearer.

While I wait for those two names of Saumaki/Somaki characters, here's another question.

^Acha can you make a post somewhere, maybe in your forum, where you give the Devanagari equivalent of how you write things? Sometimes I get confused trying to remember which appendage is which letter 😆

Also, if you get time do teach me to read these notations "Karṇaparvan 60.20"...till Parva I understand baki no idea 😆

My copy of MB only has continuous Adhyay numbers for each Parva.

Karṇaparvan 60.20 means the sixtieth chapter, twentieth verse, of the BORI critical edition of Karṇaparvan.

Sāgaragā = Sāgara-gāminī = one who goes to the ocean = any river

Sāgaragā-suta = Āpageya, river's son, specifically Gāṅgeya, son of Gaṅgā.

Pākaśāsana, chastiser of Pāka (Asura) is an epithet of Indra. What does that mean for Pākaśāsani?
