Susharma, King of Trigarta who attacked Matsya.

Nice try! Suśarman had a warrior named Śoṇāśva protecting his chariot-wheel. So, it's not Suśarman's name.

I am thinking of a more prominent character who was known as Śoṇāśva on account of his red-brown-coloured horses.

Lot of Warriors have red horses. Not sure critical Edition has interpreted Shona as red. Karna's brother Sangramjit has red horses. But he is not a prominent character.

Drona had red horses.

Correct! Droṇa is even addressed as Śoṇāśva.

Saṃgrāmajit had red horses, and so did twelve princes of Sauvīra.

Uttara's horses were white like silver, so he could have been called Rajatāśva, like a few other characters. I am thinking of one character in particular, who is explicitly called Rajatāśva in Droṇaparvan.

Correct! Yuyudhāna Sātyaki was called Rajatāśva.
