RECAP:- Madhu says "I think this Documentary can really help you to break free from the asshole image that you've crafted for yourself."

RK cuts her off and speaks seriously: "Do you not know me?
Madhu replies "ofcourse I do! You are Star, Even my landlord's little kids know you..." but he cuts her off again, saying her name with intensity: "Madhubala. Do you really not know who I am?

"I know you, she answers,
"You are a scumbag

FLASHBACK [Year 2009]

In 2009, a young madhu runs to school in the winter and stops when she sees the neighborhood granny pulling a cart up a hill. She gives the granny her mittens, scarf, and hat, and offers to take the cart the rest of the way.
Madhu is apparently this kind to everyone in the neighborhood. She loved to help other.
She stops near at her father's food stall stand.
A little boy eating at her father food stand. When her father shamsher asked for money to little boy .
Madhu said to little boy "you Don't have to pay. I told you that anything you want is yours. Go on home. Don't make your dad wait." The boy said thank you to madhu and run away .
Shamsher gets angry on Madhu and said "Are you saint??
Are we rich?
Does money grow on trees?
Do you know how much debt we're in?.."

Madhu cut him off and said "His dad got hurt at a construction site and can't work.
Do you need his money ?"

Shamsher reply "I do. I desperately do.
Your own dad can't afford to buy new clothes. I lost so much weight because i barely E..."(eat) shamsher stop for a while then continue
"If we could get the money you practically gave away, i would not have to sell food in the freezing cold. I'd be in building sitting in a chair..." he stop by a voice
" Madhu... Madhu " Madhu's classmate runs up to her and announce that another friend is about to get beaten up by the school bully,

"How dare they ? I should just..." her father cut her off
"STOP... didn't i tell you not to get involved in a stranger's business?"
Madhu replies " she isn't a stranger. She's my friend" and she goes running to save her. Madhu's Dad calls after her that she's not the police and she should mind her own business, but she willfully ignored him.

Her habit of save others is irked by her father. he know the world does not work like this. he is worry for his daughter. she is too innocent to live in this cruel world.

At the same time, Rishabh and his friends walk up to bulletin board in hallway, where is news post that rishabh is suspended for 10 days as a punishment for school violence


Rishabh's mom Radha bursts into the principal's office with a girl in tow, insisting that Rishabh saved this girl from being attacked by some other boys, and they're the ones who should be punished.
Radha said "what did rishabh do wrong? A group of boys tried to bully this girl, so he stepped in and hit them to teach a lesson. He got hit as well. You should reward him instead. Why did you suspend him?" Then she turn toward girl and asked her to tell the truth But the girl hangs her head and doesn't say a thing in rishabh's defense

Principal said that she is the one who testified against rishabh . Radha is horrified to learn that. The girl is lying that Rk started a fight without provocation. Radha asks the girl if her parents taught her to side with the rich boys instead of the poor one, and slaps the girl across the face angrily.


When RADHA comes to her senses and gets on her knees to beg the principal for another chance. She cries that rishabh is going to be a prosecutor someday, and he can't have something like this on his record.

otherside the Bully friends enjoy their victory when RK comes to them, he says that he wants to say something. Bullying groups make a fun of Rk that they are feeling pretty superior right now and they are noble persons that commoners like you must never touch.
RK points out how lame it is to get transferred for roughing them up a little, and suggests that he might as well beat one of them to a pulp and just go for an expulsion.

*POLICE STATION *

Next thing, Rishabh is being berated by a cop at the police station, sporting fresh bruises on his face.
The cop says "you still haven't got your head on straight."

Rishabh replies "What would it change if i did?... Would the others get punished equally regardless of who their dads are?"

The cop say " I took pity on you because you was raised by a single mom"
but that just stokes Rishabh 's anger and he mouths off.

Just then a kuku shows up to defend him. kuku warns the cop to back off because if he brought Rishabh's father here, no one would be able to say a word against him.

Rishabh asks kuku bhatia to stop it , Don't talk about his father but kuku ignored him and Rk finally erupts in a scream: "Stop it!

Rishabh looks pained as he stammers, "How can a dead person come here?

At restaurants Rishabh and kuku bhatia watching tv where a prosecutor mohan kapoor (who is now Assemblyman) giving a press statement on a murder case.

When the food comes, kuku bhatia asks Rishabh to eat, but he ignores it and said to kiku " Don't lie about my dad again"
Kuku said "well it might not be a lie"

Rishabh constantly stares at the TV when Kuku asks "what will you do if Prosecutor Mohan is actually your father"

Rishabh scoffs at the notion, but when kuku presses, he answers, "I'll kill him. He threw me and Mom away, and eats well and lives well all by himself.

Kuku argues that "your father won't even know about your existence because Mom hid the fact she was pregnant and ran away."

This is news to Rishabh , he is shocked
He asks to kuku " what on earth you are talking about."

Whoops. Kuku realizes what he just let slip,
He said "it's nothing i just means that could be a possibility, that's all."

But Rishabh knows that he is lying, so he gets up and starts going, when Kuku asks where he is going.

Rishabh said " i will ask my mom about what you said."

"Don't" Kuku prevents Rishabh from going to his mother, because he is afraid of her anger


Kuku tells him that his parents met while his Dad was working a part-time job as a waiter in a bar, while hiding the fact that he was in law school. His Mom was working in the kitchen of that bar, and they fell for each other. But one day his Dad's older brother showed up and told Mom that his brother was destined to be a prosecutor, and that someone like her wasn't fit to be with him.


Rk trudges home with all this weighing on him, remembering kuku's plea not to let Mom know he told Rishabh about his father, insisting that his Mom was really soft-hearted and fragile underneath her gruff exterior. Kuku said she probably would've died for his father if he'd asked her to.

Rk finds Radha sitting outside on their front stoop when he gets home, and he smiles sweetly to her but She scowls in return.
He asked his mom "what are you doing out here?... were you waiting for me?"
Radha replies "why did they release a bully who beats up other people?" And wonders why the cops let a criminal go so easily."

RK jokes that the jail was too crowded, and he was told to cause some more trouble and come back next time.

Rk asked to Radha "did you skip dinner?...
I am hungry, too."

Radha angrily said " i don't have food to give you. Go, ask a prison guard to feed you." And left from there.
"Prison guard work in prisons not in police stations... what should i do with you?" rk jokingly said from behind ..

Radha is eating a meal when Rishabh asks, "Will not you give your son too?" But Radha ignores it and continue eating,

He remembered kuku bhatia word that "you get the worst grades in your class, but your mom insists on making you a prosecutor. It's all because of your father. She wants to make you a prosecutor and then introduce you to your dad. She wants to show him that without his help, she raised you well, to be just like him. "


Rishabh just carries on in his casual way, eating out of her bowl and declaring that he's not going to go to tutoring anymore. He doesn't see the point of living in a basement apartment just to pay for an expensive tutor.

Radha got anger on this
They tussle over the rice bowl and radha hits him a few times ineffectually,
She angrily said " Why did you help the girl?
Since When did you care so much about justice? You wouldn't have cared even if someone died here."

Rk reply 'Exactly.. i had lost my mind for a while.
I'd found out you worked at a bar to afford a tutor."
Hearing this Radha starts coughing rk give glass of water to her.

RK said "Forget about it. I'm just as dump as you are. No amount of tutoring can make me a prosecutor."

Radha angrily said "fine... I won't care what you do with your life. You can fight for a living or fight and end up in prison for years. Do whatever you want."
She stands up and goes from there.

At night Radha cries herself to sleep that night, but Rishabh rolls up his sleeves and cracks his books, determined to make Mom's dream come true on his own. He stays up all night studying
