Part 4For the Khurana family Madhu was like their own daughter and never treated her differently to Annie, who is a year younger to Maan and Madhu. Mr & Mrs Khurana (Randeep and Rano) were like second parents to Madhu, and she also addressed them the same way Maan and Annie did, Mom and Dad, and Maan also addressed Madhu's father as Papa.
All three children sat in Madhu's room and chatted (Yes, Madhu has her own room in Khurana Mansion) till late night. Annie feeling tiered excused herself stating that she is off to bed now while Maan and Madhu talked a bit more on not any particular topics. "(Yawn) Ok Madhu, am too retiring to bed now..sleep tight.." he finished with planting a soft kiss on her forehead. "Good Night Maan..." she smiled which he returned with a warm one. "And don't forget to take your pills ok.." he said with concern he walked out of her room leaving her in deep thoughts.
She opened the drawer next to her bed and took out an old photo. "Where are you? You know how much i miss you! No naa...i tell you, the day i find you i will not spare you for not even coming once to meet me! It's been about 13 years now!! Please come back.." her voiced choked as her cries tried to escape which they did manage. Hugging the photo tight she drifted off to sleep mammering a Good Night...
"Maan move.." she shook him "Huh..hmm.." Maan shifted over a bit letting Madhu slip in next to him."It's 3 am in the Morning Madhu.." he said, having a quick look at the digital clock in his room. "hmmm.." Madhu hummed. "Can't Sleep?" "I have been awake for an hour or so now..." "Okay sleep now and let me too.." he said placing his arm over her and holding her tight.
"Maan?" "Hmm?" "Are you asleep?" she asked in a low whisper. "If you would let me." Madhu giggled at that. "Do you want me to kick you out?" he asked dangerously. "You wouldn't." "Try me." "Maan don't be mean!" "Then Shut up and sleep!" "I think i need to find a new Best friend." "Good Luck with that." he muttered half asleep. "Maan why don't you get a girl?" "And why don't you just shut up?" "Answer naa..!" she whined. "You find a guy who would be ready to be with you and i'll find myself a girl to be with." "When i find a guy, you will be the one crying then." "Don't know about then but if you don't let me sleep now then you will be crying soon." "But You Love me and can't see me cry.." she smirked. "Believe me, when i say right now i wanna murder you!" "Okay calm, sleep i won't disturb you any more." she smiled ruffling his hair to which he lazily snorted.
"Bhai!! Madhu Di wake up!!" shouted Annie as she tried waking them up. Maan would get up without a fuss and she knew that but Madhu? Oh God! Maan woke up yawning while Madhu was still cuddled up under the blanket. "Oh God! Bhai I can't do this! Please you wake her up! I am going to get ready otherwise i will miss the bus..." "What bus?" asked Maan yawning. "Bhai you forgot? I have a History trip remember?" "Oh yeah...for how many days are you going?" "It's for a week Bhai. I finished all the packing yesterday and now i am going to miss the bus if i don't get ready and leave on time, so please wake Di up..." she said as she ran out of their room.
"Argghhh...Maan I hate you!!!" she grumped, as he shook her till she woke up, annoyed. "I love you too" he said pulling her cheeks! "Stop it!" she said pushing his hands off and getting off his bed progressing towards the door. "Oyyee...no Good Morning?" she turned back giving him a sarcastic smile. "I wish you a terrible morning, MK.." and left behind a smiling Maan.
Both after getting ready headed downstairs to find everyone seated and having breakfast. "Morning Mom...Morning Dad!" both said simultaneously, and seated themselves alongst them whilst they greeted them back. "Maan your going to Delhi today. You will attend a meeting on my behalf, so pack your bags for a week as there will be several of them." instructed Randeep, Maan's Dad. "What no way Dad! Maan will stay here...he is still studying!" replied Madhu as she bit her toast. "Shut up Madhu! Sure Dad, you are being serious right?" Maan always wanted to help out with business as it really interested him since a young age, but thanks to the ladies in his life, Randeep forbid him to join his office until he completed his studies much to the annoyance of Maan. "I agree with Di, Dad, he doesn't need to join yet." agreed Annie with a sneaky smile. Maan gave both Annie and Madhu a I-will-see-two-later glare to which both laughed. "No Maan is going and that too today." spoke Mrs. Khurana, Shocking all three of them. "Mom since when did you change sides?" asked Madhu. "Well, it is important for someone from them both to go. Randeep can't so he is." "Yep, i would have never sent him if it wasn't important and i can't make it, i have to be somewhere else so Maan your going." Randeep declared to which Maan gave a victorious smile to both of them, to which both rolled their eyes.
"Maan...have you packed everything?" "I am...pass me my towel please.." She went over to his wardrobe and got out a new fresh white towel and handed it over to him. "Anything else?" "Nope, i think this is pretty much it.." he said thinking if he forgot anything. "You packed for more than a week right? Dad did say that it could take longer than a week aswell.." "Offo..Madhu you are worrying more than Mom! Even if I don't have enough i can just buy some from Delhi, so chill.." she sighted. "Maan promise you will come back soon, you know naa that i don't like being without you.." Maan sensed that she was getting emotional "Ok...please don't now start crying dear...i will come as quick as possible...promise and i will call you everyday anyway so what is there to worry about? Huh?" he tried to make sense to her. "Ok now quickly get ready and leave...you will be late for your first Class!" she rolled her eyes. "Yh, Yh...i am leaving, btw did you order my paint set?" "Yes...it will reach by today evening and your Art classes don't start till tomorrow anyway." "yes i know but just asking in case you forgot."
