What to say about the episode and from where to begin with🤔

Raja's character was chopped into pieces, and only waiting to throw in the fireplace!

Chappal utarke maro... oh that family disgusted me to the edge..

As per Bhanu, women are for using as chappal or something similar he said..

Is CVs trying to send any reverse message to the mass audience that how bechari women in this country are suffering 😕

So is this confirmed that he raped her?

@neelm, i cant tell u how frustrated i am on the questions raised on rape..

the scene , whether sr or rape is always suggestive..they will not show her or him naked ..if raja doesn't remember anything frm last night, its Bec he was drugged, if he did everything in his senses, there's no redeeming point left in him..phir toh rape hota hi nai? .then why show him doing it under the influence,of drugs?

also, he admitted doing it , to himself and two, he was not remorseful..he said it was between husband wife so its okay..

well, i am convinced that he raped her, but if they take a u turn,, and show Madhu putting false accusations , i will be as much disgusted as i am, right now..few r okay with madhus butchering but not rajas..for me, its one in the same thing..

I do agree either way the love story is butchered. I don't like Madhu winning the bet this way! Even thinking of it makes me sick.

very tensed epi after the whole mess cvs have created..yesterday😭 why cvs why did you ruin rajbala...😡...i just loved two dialogues today..one by jm..agar haath lagaya to kaath kar doosre haath mein de doongi.👍🏼.and one by raja..mera pyaar haar gaya aur rani ki nafrat jeet gayi👏...this sums up their relationship😔..rest all blah blah dont like such type of scenes👎🏼where everyone knows about the crime.👎🏼..happy raja is arrested👏..he should come back to his real senses now..😡.i want raja to change into a completely different person leaving his junglee gawar family 😊..precap...👍🏼i know that wont happen but rani wants raja to be hanged..👏..dd was super awesome all through..⭐️

'Izzatdaar' seems to be culturally mistranslated as 'respectable'.
'Sammaan' and 'pratishtha' are the words which primarily mean 'respect' and 'prestige'.
'Izzat' covers a wide spectrum of meanings.
But perhaps the most culturally suited meaning of 'izzatdaar' may be 'respected' rather than 'respectable'.
More specifically in the most conservative sense of no scandal attached to the family's honour via its women.
'Respected' not for ethics or moral excellence but for maintaining themselves in a way that may be considered worthy by their social peers and community.
They might appreciate if they were to be feted for being progressive by people whose ways they find less than admirable, but perhaps not at the cost of the mortification of being thus rendered scandalous in their own opinion and in that of their social peers.

So many months back I stopped watching this show regularly and then stopped altogether for a while until VD came back. Even then I would watching when I had the chance,I have to admit I was intrigued with how they would handle this.

I watched yesterday's episode and I have yet to watch today's, I don't know that I would, and I don't know what brought me back to the ED thread after what seems like an eternity ago but I've kind of been reading comments the last two days and I needed to speak somewhere and why not the place I used to love hanging out the ED thread.

I was hoping that this story would go very differently, all I can think is the CVs have been watching super old episodes of shows like General Hospital and decided it was something they wanted to try on Indian television and are failing miserably. One of General Hospital's most popular couples was Luke and Laura. I'm too young to have seen their beginning but was shocked to hear that he had initially raped her. I couldn't make sense of why in the world the audience had responded to this couple that had the older male forcing himself on the younger female but respond they did, one of the most watched weddings in daytime television in the States. Again I was too young to see their journey but is this what they're trying to do?

I'm all for bringing drama to television and using shock value but it needs to be done appropriately. I don't know that they have it in them to handle this situation appropriately.

Frankly I'm disgusted and I might just have to turn this show off for good again. I don't understand or have a clue of what they're doing and why they think this is the best way forward for the characters especially when there are SO MANY stories that can be explored. Who were Madhu's parents, why isn't she curious to know their story and know more about them. Before I turned this show off a few months ago I did catch a little bit about how JM loved the film industry. Why are they not exploring that? There are so many avenues to explore and they chose this?!?

What I liked about the original RK was that as bad as he got he always knew there was a line and he never crossed it. Okay, so Raja is from the village and is uneducated but I always saw him as the one that was the way he was because of circumstance and push come to shove he would try to do the better thing as time progressed but instead we have him completely regressing?

Okay, I think I'm getting into ranting. I'm sorry. I show up after forever and don't even talk about the episode. Feel free to ignore if you'd like. I just wanted to get my feelings out.

Couldn't agree with you more Charu. Either way you look at this now it's not okay and just raises disgust.
