Maksim Chmerkovskiy, international choreographer and winner of Dancing with the Stars Season 18, is the new addition to the Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7 judging panel this season, alongside judges Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Karan Johar and Remo D'Souza. The show surely has got its international appeal ensured, with this big move. The hot dancer and choreogapher of Ukrainian descent, was crowned the winner of the latest season of the American dance reality show, Dancing with the Stars, along with celebrity partner, Olympian Meryl Davis. He is now set to appear in the Indian adaptation of the show- Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7, too. But this time, he will be seen donning the hat of a judge. This is not the first time that Maksim has played judge. He took a one-year break from Dancing With The Stars, when he featured as a guest judge for Broadway's Forever Tango. "I'm not a nice judge, I'm a good judge. I'm the judge the way it's supposed to be. I know this business, I've been in it, I grew up in it." Maksim said in an interview about his judging stint on Forever Tango. Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7 is already gathering a lot of attention due to various factors like Drashti Dhami debuting as host and the suspense surrounding Karan Tacker's choreographer. Maksim, a Latin Ballroom dance champion, has more than 10 international dance titles to his credit. Going by the words of a source, "Maksim will judge the technique and precision with which the contestants and choreographers approach international dance forms." Sounds like Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7 is gearing up for Maksim-mum heat, challenge and competition this season of Jhalak!
