Television actress Drashti Dhami could soon be seen taking on the host's role for dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" Season 7 ("JDJ 7").
The popular actress will repeat her stint in the reality show for the second time, but this time in the role of a host, according to a Bollywood Life report. She had won the show last season with choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan.
Dhami is likely to pair up with actor, Ranvir Shorey and the duo will co-host "JDJ 7" replacing Manish Paul and Kapil Sharma, who were the previous year's hosts.
Shorey's name came up recently as reports revealed that he would host the upcoming show alongside another female host. Speculations carried that comedian Bharti Singh could pair up with Shorey to act as entertaining hosts of the show.
But now the "Madhubala: Ek Ishq Ek Junoon" actress' name has come up. And if the actress takes up the hosting role, she would follow the footsteps of telly actress Ragini Khanna.
Khanna had previously been a participant in "JDJ 4". She returned to the show on season five as the show host alongside Manish Paul.
Meanwhile, as revealed previously "JDJ 7" will have a list of 13 celebrity contestants, including cricketer S Sreesanth, VJ Andy, Purab Kohli, Sophie Choudry, Mouni Roy, Kiku Sharda, Kritika Kamra, Ashish Sharma, Karan Tacker, Puja Banerjee, Shakti Mohan, Akshat Singh and singer Sukhwinder Singh.
Madhur Dixit, Karan Johar and choreographer Remo D'Souza will return as the show's judges.

No movie career for Drashti Dhami for at least one more year. Plans to embark on her large-screen career have been put on hold after Drashti's decision to co-host Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
"It is just not possible. Between my daily soap Madhubala and now this new job of hosting Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa I have no time for anything else. I don't even get to take a day off. In the last six months I only got time off for New Year's Eve and my birthday on 10 January. I see no way I can fit in a movie at the moment. And I don't want to take on something so major unless I'm absolutely sure I've enough time for it."
Although Drashti Dhami has taken the task of co-hosting the 7th season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa she has yet to meet Ranvir Shorey who hosts the show with her.
Says Drashti, "I guess we're both very busy with our careers. I am yet to meet Ranvir. But I know he's fantastic with his quips and repartees whereas it is the first time as a host for me. So yeah, I am nervous."
Drashti would be meeting up with Ranvir soon. "We need to establish a comfort level between us before the show begins."
About the challenge of hosting the show Drashti says, "I've to admit I am nervous. Last year I won Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. This year I am hosting it. That sounds like two big challenges on the same show for me for two consecutive years. To be honest it wasn't my idea. It was the channel's idea. I took it on because it's always a good idea to keep trying to stretch one's abilities."
Drashti's serial Madhubala has completed two years. She expresses great pride in being part of it. "I am the only actor who has been in the serial from the beginning till now. I don't see the serial ending in the near future. I'm happy to see it go on. It has got me recognition. I won't give it up until it wraps up."
